Very nice home. Had everything we needed/wanted. Loved the views from the living room, short walk for beach access.

Great house with great views

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time with our friends staying at the Pilot House. Oddly shaped house, with two wings, but plenty of room in the main living room for everyone to congregate.

Gorgeous sunset location

  • 4 of 5

We were 2 couples staying for 3 days at Pilot House. The location is ideal for easy beach access, long walks, and taking in the sites of 3 nearby state parks. The house is well equipped and the furnishings are very comfortable. We especially appreciated the Webber grill on the deck. The only downside is that the second bathroom has a tub and no shower. It wasn't really a huge drawback but the guys all wanted to use the shower bathroom.

All the comforts of home--and gorgeous ocean views!

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I spontaneously booked this stay to escape the Portland heat and forest fire smoke, and we could not have been more pleased! The cozy, spacious home has a log cabin feel, with modern touches. We especially appreciated the well-placed skylights that let in the sunlight all day long. The home was easy to find; it's near the highway, but you barely hear the traffic. The beds were firm and comfortable, the soaking tub pure luxury, and the ocean view of haystack rocks and surf from the yard (!!) was unbeatable. (Beach access is close by, but be forewarned that there is a considerable "field" of rocks to cross to get to the sand, so bring sneakers!) It's really the best of all worlds--a peaceful home just a 12-minute drive from the wonderful Manzanita shops, 2 miles from Hug Point (my favorite Oregon Coast beach), and a short drive from Cannon Beach. In short, it's heaven.

Great please to bring some of the team back to relax and unwind and watch the sunset after a grueling 199 mile relay race. Perfect!

Beautiful Home, Stunning Views!

  • 5 of 5

Wow, what an amazing place to spend a vacation! The house itself was lovely. Well maintained yard. All the amenities you would need for an extended stay. The house has 2 rooms in back connected with a family room. The TV is located here, 55-60 inch Smart TV. I was able to connect to Netflix and watch movies with the family at night.

In the middle of the home is a bathroom with a walk in shower, washer/dryer. It was perfect. Next to that is a hallway that leads to the kitchen and dining room, to the right of that is the living room with huge windows that line the wall offering a stunning view of the Ocean. Also located in this area is another bathroom with a huge soaking tub and the master bedroom.

Access to the backyard is right by the kitchen. Has a working grill and some chairs set up, also a bench. Walk a few steps off the deck and you are at the edge of the yard. This is when you realize that you made the right choice for a vacation home. The views are unbelievable. Park some chairs out here and watch exquisite sunsets.

A little bonus to my stay was we had a family of bunnies that would come out and nibble on grass every now and then. Beach access is 1-2 mins down the road. I stayed for 4 days and barely saw anyone on it (compared to the main Cannon Beach 5 mins away)

As stated above, Cannon Beach is 5 minutes at most away. Amazing food can be found all over. The main beach access is very easy to use, a cement pathway will walk you right up to the sand. Great views of Haystack Rock can be had here.

Seaside and Astoria are also very close by. I would highly reccomend visiting both of these great places. Seaside has great stores and food, a huge Funlamd Arcade and many places great for families. Astoria has tons of great food also (Wet Dog Cafe.) We went and checked out The Goonies house too.

All in all I can say with confidence that choosing this home was a great choice. Any questions were answered promptly by the property owners. It was so beautiful and tranquil. My family and I will definitely want to come back in the future. Everything about the home and location surpassed any expectations I had. Enjoy your stay here, my family and I sure did!
