Overview

About the property

On a quiet cul-de-sac is this five bedroom, three bath home with pool on an acre

This five bedroom beach house was recently updated and is the perfect escape from the city! Enter into this charming cedar-shingled Springs retreat and enjoy complete privacy on this acre of property that backs up to 40 acres of reserve in the beautiful Springs Park. The open concept living room features a 65" plasma TV and fireplace, and flows into a recently updated kitchen. Sliders lead out to the deck with plenty of outdoor dining space and grill. The large property features a (private) in ground pool, hammock, and expansive outdoor space, all ideal for entertaining. There are three completely renovated full bathrooms, as well as a bonus game room with ping ping table on the second floor.

The first floor features a master suite with King bed and ensuite master bath with double vanities, and two additional guest bedrooms (the first with a queen/full bed, the second with two single beds) that share a full guest bathroom with a tub and shower. Upstairs you'll find an additional living area/game room with ping pong table and separate deck leading to the large backyard, as well as two additional guest bedrooms (the first with a queen/full bed, the second with two single beds) and a full bath with shower. The house sleeps 8-10 comfortably.

The fully equipped, kitchen was recently renovated and features all stainless steel appliances including electric range/stove, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, Vitamix, dishwasher, Keurig, air fryer, etc. There is a dedicated ice machine separate from the fridge/freezer as well. There is also a wet-bar with wine fridge and sink in the dining area.

All linens are provided, including beach towels, and there beach chairs as well. There is high-speed wireless internet, and Samsung Smart TVs with Apple TVs, Netflix, Hulu and Direct TV Now (Live TV).

The back yard is about a half an acre and completely fenced. There is a large 20x40 feet, in-ground pool. The pool, while not heated, is in direct sun for the entirety of the day heating the water nicely. The pool deck has 4 chaises, several umbrellas and several benches. Closer to the house, there is a deck with two dining tables accommodating seating for up to 12. There are both charcoal and propane grills available for use, though guests will need to supply their own charcoal/propane (tanks are available to be refilled). There is an metal fire-pit that can be used at the guests discretion. For those interested in checking out the beach down the road, there are beach chairs and beach umbrellas available for use.

The house is located in Springs, a hamlet just a few miles north of the chic village of East Hampton, that was home to Jackson Pollock and other abstract expressionist artists during their post-war heyday. Historic Springs is quiet residential neighborhood away from the traffic and crowds you'll otherwise find in the summer, and is just around the corner from world renown dining and beaches. We are nearby to several terrific waterfront restaurants including Bay Kitchen Bar, Harbor Bistro and East Hampton Point, as well as beautiful bay beaches where you can see incredible sunsets at Gardiner's Bay. There is also a liquor store, a small grocery store, deli and pizzeria all nearby. We are also closet to farm stands, parks, hiking trails, tennis courts, and all the other cultural and social attractions of the East End of Long Island.

Centrally located, you're just a short drive to East Hampton Village or Amagansett for shopping/dining, the Jitney or Long Island Rail Road, and to the ocean. Montauk is about 20 minutes away. Having a car is suggested, but there is a nearby bus route (Suffolk County Transit route 10B) that covers most of the area, and taxis are readily available as well.

Please text/call with any questions at 212.-.729.-.3637.

Why Alex Strickland chose East Hampton

The acreage is large, and is extremely private on a cul-de-sac abutting the Springs Dog Park, a 40 acre reserve. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing spot, this is for you.

What makes this house unique

Being so close to the bay is amazing, and there are several restaurants that are a short trip (even walk) away. The second living room here is great, allowing guests their space and privacy if they so choose. The large pool and large property provide the perfect retreat.

Great Place

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful stay here. A few tips for anyone who might be by there: Make sure not to wear shoes in the house, the floors are white, and have a pair of sandals for the back deck, which can get warm. Otherwise, the pool was great, the kitchen worked wonderfully, and the location was perfect.

Lovely house

  • 5 of 5

Located in a quiet cul de sac in a quaint neighborhood, the house is truly away from it all. Back yard and the pool is great... at first I was put off by the fact that you can see the pool from the outside but then there was barely any cars that drove by or people that walk by. So it was not a problem at all! House has a newly renovated kitchen that's nicely equipped. Master bedroom windows have blinds and black-out curtains which is a super plus for me. We even extended our stay there. Wonderful times!
