Why Steve or Emelia chose Centro
The Historic Center of Campeche is a unique jewel in the Yucatan Peninsula, and every year is becoming more complete with more restaurants, cafes and services. At the same time it's very peaceful and relaxing. The opportunity to acquire this lovely home was something we didn't want to pass up.

Great, central location in this very walkable city!
Steve and Emelia, our hosts, were very gracious and attentive! They met us with welcome gifts and "starter" groceries, for our 6 week stay and, although we had been to Campeche before, they had some useful suggestions to add to our enjoyment of the historic district. They resolved any issues promptly and ongoing communication was great!
The pool and covered patio were a great place to enjoy an early morning coffee, or a late afternoon dip, while the resident iguana kept his distance, but a watchful eye on the guests.
The historic district is a vibrant area, but not for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. Go there to enjoy the culture, the history and the variety of excellent food! We return to Campeche again and again for all of the above.
Perfect location, wonderful hosts
We were a party of four adults who wanted to explore Campeche for the first time. Casa Feliz is ideally located within the walls of this charming city, within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops and other points of interest. The home was perfect for four people with a lovely outdoor space and refreshing pool. The hosts were attentive to our every need and went above and beyond. We would recommend this charming home and great hosts.
Thanks so much for staying with us and for your kind words! it was a real pleasure and you are always welcome to come back anytime!
Campeche is a well preserved jewel of an original, walled, colonial city, dating from the 16th century. The Historic Center is one of Mexico's finest, filled with points of interest, history, antiques, handicrafts, restaurants, cafes, and a variety of shops and services. the oceanfront Malecon is a focal point for social life, and great for walking, running or biking. Excellent beaches are a few minutes away. Mayan ruins dot the region, with the major Edzna complex 40 minutes away, Uxmal one hour, and Calakmul about four hours drive. Local cuisine features fresh fish, shrimp, squid and other ocean delicacies fresh off the boats every day. The quality of life is superb, and Campeche is Mexico's safest city.
