Larkspur House is a fully updated 1880's cottage. Sunny, bright and cozy. Big windows and beautiful wood floors throughout the house. Our home is perfect for a couple, family or group of friends. Three bedrooms include one queen bed in the front bedroom, one queen bed in the back bedroom and one bedroom with 3 twin beds: double twin bunk bed and pull out trundle. Two recently updated full baths - one with a great claw-foot tub for soaking. The kitchen is large and fully furnished with everything a serious cook needs. Large dining room and comfortable living room. A small reading sunroom and laundry room make the house wonderful for an extended stay. The yard is large and full of native flowers. It is on a quiet street so a great place for sitting outside for morning coffee or afternoon drinks. Just a block to shops and restaurants downtown and our property backs up to the Mineral Belt Trail which is a great spot for running and biking in the summer and is a groomed nordic track for skiing and snowshoeing in the winter months.

About Sara McKenna
Our family has loved Leadville for many years now and we hope you will love this great city as much as we do! We are based in Denver but love to make it up to Leadville whenever we can to enjoy all the wonderful things that Leadville has to offer!
Sara McKenna purchased this House in 2004
Why Sara McKenna chose Leadville North
When we first walked into the house the sun was streaming through that beautiful south facing bay window onto the hardwood floors. We saw the little sunroom, perfect for curling up with a good book, and knew it was the perfect place for our family to enjoy our favorite mountain town. Great neighborhood and neighbors and perfect for walking downtown - we could not have asked for more in a home.
What makes this House unique
The location is one of the best! Perched up on a hill with panoramic views of Turquoise Lake and the surrounding mountain ranges year round. This is the perfect house for the cook/reader/gardener/hiker/skier/runner....

Beautiful, Comfortable, Spacious, Clean...
We just had the best Thanksgiving weekend staying at this beautiful home in Leadville. The big kitchen was so helpful for preparing meals. A big table allowed us all to all sit together for dinner. Love the quiet and sunny reading nook. Walking distance to everything in downtown Leadville. Big backyard for the kids to play with mountain views. They even had some toys out for the kids! And the entire house was so clean! We hope to be back!
Awesome High Rockies Vacation Place!
This place had everything I could've asked for to be my basecamp for mountain adventures, and the big 100 mile race. It is located right in town, just a couple short blocks to shopping, dining etc, but just the right location to still be super quiet and peaceful. Plenty of room out front for my 32' fifth wheel RV, and truck while having total peace of mind that I didn't need to worry about my stuff being messed with when I was gone all day training, or racing!
Very comfortable house in the best location in town
Great local neighbors, good view to Turquoise Lake. House was perfect, easy parking, convenient to Mineral Belt and everything in town.
Thanks Marty! We hope to host you again in the future!
Charming older home close to everything in Leadville. House was spotless and extremely comfortable. Stocked with everything you could possibly need. We hope to be back next year!
Charming and relaxing!
This home is like something out of an Anthropologie magazine. It was the perfect location for walking to all of Leadville's attractions. It was perfect for my family and had everything we could need for cooking and relaxing. The gift basket was a warm and welcome touch! We would stay again.
Leadville is a small, historic mountain town in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. We are within 1 hour of 7 ski areas. The house is walking distance from the Mineral Belt Trail - an 11+ mile paved loop around town, perfect for cross-country skiing in winter and biking/walking in summer. Other summer activities are too numerous to list! Hiking, fishing, biking, wildflowers, history, racing (participants/supporters/spectators), rafting... Winter is, of course, for skiing - alpine and cross-country- snowshoeing and snowmobiling.
