Relax and unwind in this beautifully renovated, charming cottage in the Tavern Bay area of Lake Arrowhead. Our 3-story, 3 bedroom, 3 bath family home includes a King Bed Master Bedroom, a Queen Bed Guest Room and a bunk room on the lowest level with a separate entrance that suits big kids and adults alike. The large outdoor deck is perfect for taking in the scenery of abundant pine trees. The deck is equipped with an outdoor barbeque, and plenty of seating for you and your guests to enjoy. This home is minutes from the lake, beaches, skiing, shopping, restaurants, golfing, hiking and everything else Lake Arrowhead has to offer.
Located near the beautiful UCLA Conference center and Tavern Bay Beach Club, the cottage is just a 5 minute walk from the lake. Mountain bikes are available at the house, which guests are more than welcome to use. Beach passes to the private Tavern Bay Beach Club are included with rental. Tavern Bay Beach is wonderful for all ages. Quaint Lake Arrowhead Village is only a 10 minute car ride away. There you will find a selection of restaurants and shops. The Village is also home to the famous 'Arrowhead Queen' boat which provides daily guided tours around the lake, and also a Water Ski School.
Next door to the Village is the Lake Arrowhead Resort which offers golf, spa services, and dining. Blue Jay is also a 10 minute drive and in addition to restaurants and shops there is a movie theater with 4 screens. There are three ski resorts in the area: Snow Valley, Snow Summit and Bear Mountain.
We're a close knit family that spends a lot of time together. We live by the beach in Los Angeles. We grew up coming to Lake Arrowhead as teens and now do the same with our children. It's nice to be able to escape the pressures of work and school and get away from it all so quickly. We hope you love our home as much as we do.
Jenifer purchased this house in 2012
As a UCLA Alumni, we would come up to BruinWoods family camp every year. In less than 2 hours, we felt like we were completely on vacation in one of the most beautiful, relaxing, fun places that offered tons of activities. When we decided to buy a house in Arrowhead, the first place we started looking was right in Tavern Bay by the UCLA Conference center. It's such a beautiful area with historic Arrowhead homes.
The minute we walked into this house, we knew it was 'the one.' It exudes charm and is so bright and happy. Everything is so tastefully decorated and upgraded with the highest quality materials. We love that the main floor of the house is one big great room - kitchen, living room, dining room and extends to the outdoors with a huge deck so we can all hang out together. The kids fell in love with the bunk room, which is a separate space from the rest of the house, so they can get away from the grown ups and also enjoy their own big deck. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found a place that felt private and had a beautiful view of all the trees. The property runs down to a stream, that you can follow to the lake. For us, it's a dream come true.
Our overall experience at this property was excellent. This home has character and is nestled in a great neighborhood. I highly recommend this location for a fun getaway.
We so enjoyed our time here. The home is so nicely decorated and the pleasant access to outdoor grilling and eating is so wonderful- you feel like you are in a treehouse being so close to the tops of the trees ( the house is built on a steep incline). Weather was wonderful! Beds were so comfortable. Kitchen is wonderful to cook in and it is well stocked with all the tools needed to barbque or use the oven for cooking. The kids loved the bunk bed room. We brought coffee to brew, but there is no coffee maker, only a kuerig type. We would have preferred there was a normal coffee maker. There are tvs in each room, but it is challenging to figure out how to work them - We walked to the beach area. The lake is 10 feet lower than normal so there wasn't much water in the swimming area. The only way to access the water was to take a ski lesson or do the Arrowhead Queen lake cruise, both of which were located in the village, so that was a bit of a disappointment as we had high hopes of canoing or kayaking. We did enjoy walking in the neighborhood. It is very charming! We look forward to renting this cottage again as it was so very pleasant to stay in. The owners were very helpful anytime we reached out which was so appreciated.
We just spend a wonderful Labor Day weekend at this house and I couldn't say nicer things. Great lay out for a family or group of friends. Very comfortable beds, accommodations and so CLEAN!! Spotless!! Also, just a 5 minute drive from Lake Arrowhead Village and a quick 8 minute walk to beach club which has access to lake, play ground and snack bar! Jennifer is a very responsive host and I texted her questions over our stay and she got right back to us. Every detail was well thought out including all the kitchen amenities including Krueger coffee machine, which was very appreciated. The house is in excellent condition and has lots of light and room to entertain. I'm trying to think of anything negative....which doesn't come to mind at all! You won't regret staying here. One note, the bunk room which sleeps 4 comfortably can only be accessed by ladder on the inside of the house, which isn't great for younger kids and elderly. You can access it though by stairs around the deck, which is totally convenient. Thanks Jennifer for a wonderful stay.
This is the cutest cottage in a great location. It's clean, well stocked with amenities and super comfy. I booked last minute for a weekend getaway with the kids and Jenifer couldn't have been more accommodating and accessible when I had a few questions. My 3 little ones LOVED the lower bunk room and had hours of fun on the outdoor hammock. I will definitely book this perfect little cottage again.
We absolutely loved this little mountain cottage with all the amenities you would ever need super comfy and clean. I would suggest young children or teenagers for the bottom basement room because there's a drop door with a very steep ladder that you need to climb down to go there. Once you're down there it's a fun family bunk room. The kitchen is fabulous with a nice large bar that everyone can sit at!
The decks are relaxing with a lovely view of the mountains trees. The only thing we found missing was a hairdryer😊 Enjoy, we did!!
