If that doesn't work, take a step back in time, slide into the ole claw foot tub and soak until the world catches up. The kitchen is large and well equipped for when you just want to stay in. Master suite and claw foot tub bath with shower are upstairs. Two bedrooms, game room, spa tub bathroom and additional living areas and kitchen facilities are downstairs. I found that my stay at the Bungalow was relaxing and superb. The house has a wonderful calm vibration and the landlord was very helpful. I also found that the website was very accurate and the photos reflected the amenities. The property was very well maintained and the garden was beautiful. I was able to pick blueberries right off the porch! This is a beautiful place and I definitely will be back. Thank you!
We loved the house. It was close enough to walk to downtown and had plenty of room to spread out, The front porch was awesome. My one complaint is that there is no TV in the game room.
Cherry downtown space with terrific porch & interior space. Great location.
We rented the house for a long weekend to attend a wedding in Hendersonville, the house was so cute and very comfortable. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch. The house reminded me of my grandmothers house with all the modern conveniences. Thanks Anne for allowing us to enjoy your home.
Seven family members and I traveled To Hendersonville in late July for a family wedding and stayed here. Because we were only there for 2 nights, Thursday and Friday for my wife and I and Friday and Saturday for my wife's family from Michigan, we didn't use either kitchen. We either ate downtown, a short three block walk from the house or at the wedding related functions. We did eat breakfast around the dining room table Saturday morning consisting of sweet rolls from the bakery downtown.
Since there were 8 of us, renting a house was much more economical and allowed us to spend some family time together instead of renting several rooms in a hotel . Since my wife and I lived in a house built in 1904 for 15 years, the fact that the house is old and refurbished was not a factor. We looked at it as part of the charm of an older home. Our first night there we took inventory and noticed there were only 6 bath towels. My wife called Anne and the next morning by the time we had returned from breakfast downtown, she had more bath towels delivered to us. We didn't have the chance to use the game room for anything other than sleeping due to our tight schedule, but it looked like a good place to spend some quality family time. Really cool shower downstairs by the way.
Hendersonville's main street is really neat, with lots of nice places to eat and little shops to browse. Parking could have been an issue, but not for us, since it was a short walk.
A couple of issues: When we walked into the lower level it was about 60 degrees. I found two thermostats downstairs, but no matter what I did the cold air continued. It was chilly upstairs too, but one of the thermostats upstairs responded when I moved the temperature up. 2. Lots of standing water in old flower pots in back with the mosquitoes to go with them.
We did spend some time on the front porch while waiting for our Michigan relatives to arrive on Friday and it was very nice. Mosquitoes not a factor out front.
If we had a group travel under similar circumstances to Hendersonville we would stay here again .
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely house with us. We had a wonderful stay. Hendersonville is a great little town and a perfect base to explore the area. We particularly enjoyed the cute decorations in the house, the nice kitchen, and the beautiful front garden. Thanks again!
Enjoy gift shops, and lots of fresh vegetable markets and apple stands. (Did you know that Henderson County is number 7 in the nation for Apple production?)
