Guestbook comments from the owner

We felt it was clean and modern ( yet

still "cabinny" ) and would love to come back and stay again sometime.

Our only significant complaint was the lack of air conditioning - the last

couple days and nights were stifling - yet we would chalk that up to

absolutely bad luck - the heat wave that blew through was almost historic.

Pro's - Very comfortable, modern home, yet absolutely retains that "up

north" feel. Very quiet neighborhood. Loved the lot, and the lake.

Nice to be able to access your garage ( we kept one of our cars in

it ) and have access to your tools ( the axe ! ). We loved the fire ring,

the way. Your two decks ( upper and lower ) are awesome !

Your DSL service was very good, and the TV service was ok. Your supplies

( and quality ) of paper goods were excellent, as well as your

washer/dryer / detergent.

Con's - No air conditioning was the biggie.

Thanks again for renting us your place....Your off-season deal seems to be

a good one, too. Make no mistake - we really enjoyed your

home, and the way you managed it.

Great cozy place for friends and family.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed the chalet. It was very cold and the wood burning stove was great. I liked how the whole place was decorated and the instructions on the walls was a great idea. Would love to come back in the summer.

Summer vacation on a lake

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed a week on Lake Louise. The chalet was perfect with comfortable beds and all of the amenities of home. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Our dog enjoyed the big yard and lake. We brought our kayals with us and loved paddling around the lake. The weather wasn't great but we made due, playing games and watching movies when it rained. We played some golf at Garland (20-25 minutes away), made a day trip to Traverse City to visit a winery and spend some time downtown and also enjoyed Friday night at the Alenfest in Gaylord, eating outside at Tap 32 and then enjoying the band and the fireworks.

Beautiful cabin.

  • 4 of 5

First off the owners are amazing and i love that it is dog friendly.

Pros: newly remodeled, clean, comfortable and cozy, access to the lake, good wifi.

Cons: rains alot up north--more than expected, ER vet is >hour away which i didnt even think about and ended up needing (illness nothing to do with cabin of course).

Would recommend an accessible weed whip. Grass got long quick by the water with all the rain. Hard to take dogs out in between rain storms with long grass.

Although it rained it was a nice time. Next time i may choose august to rent!
