About the property

2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom House on very private property

Our Bokeelia retreat is a nature lovers dream. It is located on the tranquil north west shore of Pine Island. Charlotte harbour is one of the best inshore fishing areas to be found. You can catch Redfish, Snook, Trout and Tarpon. We are minutes away from world famous Boca Grand Pass and the tranquil beaches of Cayo Costa. At the end of our canal the water opens up to small bays and mangroves that are great to explore by kayak. The Great Calusa Blueway runs right around the Island. Nearby you will find waterfront restaurants, public fishing pier, boat ramp, marina and an art gallery.

The spacious back deck is very private and a great place to BBQ your fresh catch, sunbathe or read a book. Overlooking the canal you can watch as the nesting night heron feed their young or catch a glimpse of manatees that frequent in warmer months.

Tastefully appointed in nautical and tropical decor you will find our 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is very comfortable. The open concept kitchen and living room make it a great space for entertaining. The cozy sunroom has a daybed and can be used as an extra bedroom.

We also have a 8, 000 lbs boat lift

bokeelia at it's best

  • 5 of 5

Rented for the month with my family. We love the fishing, in and around pine island. The house has every thing you need. Very comfortable lots of room inside and out. As fishermen we like the quick access to Jud creek. Boat dock was great. If you have never been to Pine island don't come unless you like to see Dolphins, Sea Turtles and Manatees. Oh and to catch a lot of fish.

Best Summer Vacation Ever

  • 5 of 5

My fiancé and I were so blessed to spend (all of July 2014) in Randy and Sandy's home. We were so pleased as to the simplicity of the arrangement for our vacation. Randy and Sandy were quick to handle any correspondence in regard's to our booking as well as to any problems that we encountered with professionalism during our stay. This home is very comfortable, clean and was truly ready for us to come in and start to enjoy our vacation. The boat dock was accommodating for our 24 foot center console and the cleaning station was great for coming in with our end of the day catch. We would definitely recommend this vacation rental home to anyone and we are looking forward to booking this home again in 2015.

My home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

I was fortunate to spend two months at Randy and Sandy's home from May 5 to June 28, 2014. The house is very comfortable, clean, and stocked with all the necessities. I appreciated the newer appliances, wonderful deck, large grill, and open living space. Use of the owner's kayaks was a huge plus as I spent many hours fly-fishing the mangrove-lined bays which encompass Pine Island. A 5-10 minute paddle from the house, one can catch speckled seatrout, redfish, ladyfish, mangrove snapper, and snook. Dolphins were a common siting and on occasion, a family of manatees would visit the canal directly behind the home. The property is within walking distance of Jug Creek Marina (location of the Cayo Costa State Park ferry) and just a 10 minute bike ride to the Tarpon Lodge (great food!!) and the University of Florida's Randell Research Center (site of a major Calusa Indian archaeological site). The closest grocery story (Winn Dixie) is about a 10 minute drive south on Stringfellow Rd. Bokeelia is old Florida at its best! No high rises, no chain restaurants, and no crowds.

Renting from Randy and Sandy was a great experience! They responded to my emails in a timely manner and they worked hard to make sure that everything was in order on the day of my arrival. After my stay, Randy emailed me and asked for my home address so he could send me my rental deposit. Wow---I have never had that type of experience before! Typically, it is the renter who has to contact the owner and then it is usually several days before one even gets a response. Thanks Randy and Sandy for making my 2-month stay such a fabulous one! I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone--particularly those looking for a great fishing adventure and an escape from the crowds.

2 weeks total relaxation

  • 5 of 5

The home was perfect, when we arrived it was hard to stay inside to check it out when we all wanted to be outside and get the kayaks in the water! My husband spent most of his time on the water either exploring with a kayak or fishing. He loved the place so much he did not want to write a review in case it gets booked and he cannot come again! Randy has everything needed to be comfortable indoors and out. I spent a lot of time relaxing in a hammock. Thank you Randy and Sandy for sharing you lovely home with us. We had 2 set of family visiting for part of the time and they enjoyed it as well.
