The house was beautiful, good location.

  • 3 of 5

Outside and inside was not kept up, bathrooms, game room. No shades over upstairs jacuzzi tub and the Shade over slider in queen bedroom didn’t work. Screens in some rooms were in disrepair. No shade in game room on slider. Pool table was not usable because of lack of space, candy etc. under couch. Air con didn’t work upstairs and downstairs was not working properly. Some bathrooms had wash clothes no hand towels others had no wash clothes so we had to look around in the bathrooms to find what was needed. Most places we have stayed in the past at least mentioned no kitchen paper products .There were some paper towels. Listing should specify this. Living area is really small considering how many people the house accommodates.

No direct view of the lake, beach access is a few blocks away.

The house was just ok!

  • 3 of 5

Overall home was ok for our long weekend in Tahoe. Rooms were good for group and sleeping was comfortable. Kitchen was in good condition and well stocked. Issues: backyard virtually unusable due to dirt and pine needles. Ended up sitting in driveway to enjoy outdoor nights. Close to state park so parking and people wandering around house made it very busy and was a bit concerning. Wi-Fi was terrible as you had to be upstairs for it to work. Need window coverings in bathrooms for privacy from road. Lakeview is a bit overstated as the deck was so dirty and there are no chairs to enjoy slight glimpse of lake. Overall was okay but for the price we expected a bit more from the house.

Double Booking Nightmare

  • 1 of 5

I am writing this in hopes that this never happens to anyone else who stays at this property in the future. This trip was supposed to be a fun and relaxing vacation for my family and myself, but it was ruined by a double booking that was the fault of the owner of the home and your company. The nightmare took place on Friday, when we arrived. I called ahead to ask for an earlier check in, (Thank goodness we did). Upon arriving everything seemed perfect, the house was amazing and close to the beach. My Fiancé and I decided to take our niece and nephew down to the beach for no longer than 30 mins. Upon arriving back to the house; where my brother and sister in law still were unpacking, I found my sister in law in tears and asking me to call the property manager. I asked what happened and heard unfamiliar voices in the house, I went to the kitchen where I found the husband and wife of a party who was trying to make my family leave. We asked many times for them to leave the house, because they were strangers. The wife called my sister and brother in law the cleaning crew (because they are Mexican) and told us, we were the strangers. This couple said they were friends of the owners and had spent more money than us for a longer stay and had more people so we needed to leave. The cell reception in the house is not good so while I was trying repeatedly to contact the property manager, the situation became worse. They were trying to push their way into the rest of the home and my nieces and nephew were terrified. My brother in law was yelling we were calling the police and it was all very stressful and unnecessary. Finally after getting a hold of property management, we found out the group had been in contact with them and they were trying to accommodate them for the double booking with another rental property but the group didn't want that home, they wanted the one we were in and tried to scare us into leaving. The manager came to the house and made them leave, because the police wouldn't come until he did, they had three vehicles out front for hours making it impossible to leave because they told us they knew all the codes and would get in one way or another. Friday night was difficult for all of us to sleep. My nephew woke up screaming don't kick us out from a nightmare. Saturday we felt like if we left the house they might come in so we decided just to leave Saturday evening. The whole trip was so stressful we didn't even stay all the nights we had.

Great house. Not quite ready

  • 3 of 5

The house was very nicely furnished and things were newer than expected with a few faults that seem easily corrected. First the wifi and phone reception made it challenging to get calls and texts. The back patio and deck (with no furniture) had not been swept for months and were not really usable. There was no grill, which is certainly expected at this price range.

We did have an issue that the manager corrected immediately. All in all, ok.
