Quality and Value: Spacious/Quiet/Relaxed/Secure. Family-friendly. Concierge.
We aim to provide a high quality of service and value for money .... and are very happy that many of our guests come back every year. For the current winter season (2017/2018), all the guests staying were returnees - some on their seventh or eighth visit.
Quiet and private - located on a ridge at the end of a no-through road, looking out to sea. Fantastic 180 degree view over trees to the sea beyond. Veranda/master bedroom look towards the sea, while the other two bedrooms overlook the pool. Beaches, golf, cricket, sailing, water-sports, shops and restaurants nearby.
Many of our guests are return visitors to Barbados and enjoy the experience of feeling that they live here, rather than just visiting. Our house offers all the comforts of home and is very central for the best beaches and the main entertainment areas.
Whole house, including the veranda, netted against mosquitoes. Spacious, light and cool - 1 900 sq ft - representing excellent value for money: why pay twice the price or more, when the beach is only 5 minutes drive away and you can enjoy a beautiful sea view, sunsets and the moon setting from our cool veranda?
Large pool immediately in front of the house, set in tropical gardens. The relaxing environment, pool and stunning view mean that you may choose to simply stay at home some days.
Small select, secure residential (non-tourist) development with full-time gardeners and night-time security guard. Extensive, well kept grounds.
Very central - for beaches, entertainment, golf, sailing, supermarkets, St Lawrence Gap, the Barbados Yacht Club, cricket, the Garrison, Oistins and Bridgetown.
Our friendly agent will meet you at the house on arrival: concierge service for car rental, booking events and travel advice.

With a fight delay on the way out we arrived at your house at 10 pm and a welcome bed. Up bright and early Friday morning to find lovely surroundings and a home from home property. We quickly settled in and found that you have a very well catered for property with plenty of kitchen equipment/utensils and Bath towels. The children and my son were straight into the pool and with the weather so good my wife and I headed out to get in some provisions. Ridgeview is a wonderful place to spend time on this island. The house description is accurate and for a family of Seven, there is plenty of room for everyone. We were attending the GP14 World Sailing Championships and had the grandchildren with us who had a great time in the pool which was only 20 mtrs away. The gardeners and security guards all helpful and friendly, but not intrusive. Michael supplied us with several pages of suggestions for attractions to visit, local beaches, recommended restaurants, and much more information for our visit to Barbados. One thing i recommend is to rent a car which we did, this was a seven seat at around same prices to the UK.
All in all had a fantistic time at you house and would recommend it anyone as a great place to stay with everything you need, complex staff were very helpful and friendly.
I'm watching the rain fall in England on another wet bank holiday, so I thought it would be a good time to review our week in Barbados over Easter.
Ridgeview is a wonderful place to spend time on this island. The house description is accurate and for a family of four, there is plenty of room for everyone. The view from the main bedroom is very panoramic whilst the pool is only a few feet away. As many of the residents on the gated community live and work on the island, we often found we had the pool to ourselves. We liked the extra touches with the house; there are plenty of towels, some beach equipment, a cricket set and most importantly.....a teapot.
You do need a car to enjoy this property, but this is no hardship. Within 5 minutes, you can be parked and walking on the boardwalk or swimming out to the turtles in Carslie Bay. Within 5 minutes in the other direction, you will be on the main highway, meaning you can be at some of the most pristine locations within half an hour. We all loved Crane Beach, you need to park on the road near the small roundabout and walk down, but it is well worth the effort.
As we only stayed for one week, we had to limit our excursions as we wanted to enjoy the natural beauty of the island. Harrison's Cave offers a contrast to the sun and sea; it is stunning and even managed to amaze our 14 year old with its collection of stalactites and stalagmites. Our favourite trip was a day out on the catamaran Calypso. This boat gets 5 stars on all the trip adviser reviews and is worthy of every review.
Even though the house and local shops give you the opportunity to fully self cater, we decided to eat out each night. There a number of local restaraunts on the front which offer a wide variety of food style, all at good cost. We were slightly disappointed that more restaraunts did not offer a wider choice of real Caribbean food. However, we found that some of the petrol stations served macaroni pie, fried flying fish and delicious peas and rice, all cooked on site.A great pit stop after a morning swimming in the sea.
All in all, we loved our week at Ridgeview and our holiday on Barbados. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy the island whilst avoiding the restrictions of the commercial hotels. Our experience tells us that if you are prepared to stay a few minutes away from the main tourist drag, you can find yourself in high quality accommodation allowing you to enjoy the "real" feel of the location. Ridge View Townhouse Barbados.
The listing description was accurate and Michael was a very gracious and obliging owner to deal with throughout out stay. The property was clean and well maintained. Michael and the Property Management team gave attentive and very good customer service. I would certainly rent this property again and also recommend it to my family and friends. Michael supplied us with several pages of suggestions for attractions to visit, local beaches, recommended restaurants, and much more information for our visit to Barbados. Jean Simpson Canada
Great vacation home
This deserved a review when we stayed, but somehow I couldn't manage the technology. Have tried a couple of times since, but now got lucky (trying to emphasise that this house and all that goes with it deserves a great review).
This is a lovely, well-maintained house, but the thing that hits you first is all the really useful information provided so well by Michael. He sent us reams of useful info, from the best attractions, restaurants, full details on all the beaches, the horse racing, options on getting to the house from the airport, etc etc. his management company were just as helpful and supportive. I think they managed to get the last hire car on the island for us over Christmas, and it wasn't expensive.
The house was lovely, and the full screening meant that we didn't have to worry about lights on/ doors open for breeze. The gardeners and security guards all helpful and friendly, but not intrusive.
We were met at the house by the management company, and were shown everything, in an unhurried manner. They gave us their mobile number for any out of hours problems. Something did go wrong in a storm, on christmas day, but the management company sorted it promptly. And it wasn't anything they could or should have prevented.
The unobtrusive maid service kept the house clean and insect free.
We were even told that if we needed anything such as kitchen equipment that wasn't there, just to ask for it.
The three clothes drying racks were really useful for people who spent most of their time in the sea.
All the beds were good quality and comfortable.
Overall, our expectations of pretty well everything were exceeded.
Great location away from the bustle, but near enough to some great restaurants - Naru, Champers, and Tapas being our favourites. breakfast at the Hilton was also good fun.
Would we go back? - absolutely!
Would we recommend to friends? - absolutely, as long as they didn't book when we wanted to go.
It really was hotel-style support, without being intrusive.
A belated thanks to Michael and team.
(I confirm that no pressure put on me to leave this review)
Lovely & relaxing family summer holiday
We are a family with 3 older teenagers, having visited Barbados a number of times before we found the house at Gun Site ideal. The community of houses are quiet and the gardens very well maintained. The house provided plenty of space for us all, situated near the pool( we were usually the only ones using it) and able to enjoy beautiful views of Bridgetown and the sea from the back of the house.
A short drive to the coast provided many places to eat and the supermarket, all very convenient. we visited many beaches around the island, driving is very easy we used bing maps rather than the tourist map which shortened many journeys. We each had many highlights, a catameran trip to swim with turtles, 3 Fridays at Oistens fish night, surfing at Miami beach. We hiked with the Barbados National Trust, lucky to experience a moon hike at full moon.and watching the race horses from the Garrison swimming in the sea.
Michael was extremely helpful at all times, We booked very late so a scramble for flights shifted our dates, Michael was very understanding and courteous.
I hope our family holidays will continue to be this successful in the future!
GREAT PLACE TO STAY
Took my parents, husband and newborn for a week. Fantastic place to stay! Spacious, great pool, great location, can walk down to the beach, clean... will definitely stay again.
The best beaches on the South Coast are located in Christ Church. The area also contains the island's principal entertainment areas, two golf courses and the horse racing track. Cricket nearby at the Wanderers and the Kensington Oval. You can snorkel on the wrecks in Carlisle Bay and see lots of fish - and often turtles. The recently opened South Coast board walk is very near for a relaxing stroll by the sea. There is a jogging course at the Garrison which is within easy reach of the house. Many restaurants and entertainment spots are located throughout the area. There are many others services such as surfing, sub-diving, sports fishing and boat charters located is this part of the island. Our house - Ridge View - has an amazing view over the south coast, looking out over trees to the sea beyond. It is located in a small, secure development: ideal for relaxing and getting away from it all. Other Activities: Snorkelling, lovely beaches, cricket, Garrison historical area and horse racing, walking/jogging tracks. Golf: The Rockley Golf Club is 5 minutes drive from our house. A number of golfers have rented our house for this reason. Rockley is popular with local and visitors and offers a 9 Hole (with alternative tees for back nine) par 70, 5610yd course. This is also an active social scene. http://www.rockleygolfclub.com/go/ The Barbados Golf Club is 10-15 minutes drive away. The 18 hole golf course features two “Returning Nines” which finish into a expansive and unique triple green that wrap seamlessly around a lake. The 6,805 yard par 72 links style golf course, features gently rolling hills and wide open fairways. http://barbadosgolfclub.com/barbados-golf-course.cfm
