About Micheline Rootenberg
Nick and Miche have lived in Stellenbosch for many years and have come to love this vibrant town. Nick is South African and Miche hails from Belgium. They have two fantastic daughters, one living in Switzerland and one in Stellenbosch completing her studies at Maties, the Stellenbosch University. Nick and Miche enjoy travelling, food, wine, good conversation and community. They love meeting new people and sharing information be it local attractions or world views.

The villa is unique in that it can be rented in its entirety or for smaller groups. The villa can accommodate up to 14 guests; there is the option of renting either studio 1 or studio 2. Studio 1 accommodates 6 guests, has its own open plan kitchen, living and dining area, private garden and barbecue. The upstairs balcony has a view on Simonsberg mountain. Studio 2 accommodates up to 8 guests, has its own open plan, living, dining kitchen area. It also has an extra entertainment lounge with a lovely balcony. Studio 2 also has its own private garden and barbecue facility.

The Mediterranean climate with the long summer days makes for leisurely walks, outings and meandering in the town or simply sharing a glass of wine around the pool or barbecue. Refresh with a cool dip in the pool on a hot day.

Stellenbosch is increasingly attracting cyclists from all over the world due to the scenic and challenging trails in and around Stellenbosch. Springs season start in September and summer lasts till April.
For the nature lovers there is a Botanical Garden in Stellenbosch and Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden in Cape Town.
In season, between August and September, the nature reserves on the West Coast are famous for their fields of indigenous flowers.
Children's activities include fishing, swimming, picnics, cycling, horse riding, hiking, squash and tennis.
A visit to Butterfly World and Crocodile farm as well as Babylonstoren will delight children of all ages.
Craft brewers and micro breweries have put down roots in this historic town - brewing craft beer is a trend that has more than doubled in the past years. Tours and tastings are available.
