Rocking chairs on the porch, a crystal clear babbling brook right out the front door. This private setting features a bunkhouse style cabin with 4 twin beds complete with bedding, and a large full bath with full-size tub and steaming hot high-pressure rain-head shower, abundance of fluffy towels. Cabin offers huge windows, eclectic decor, medium size mini fridge, microwave, kitchenette area with plates/cups/coffee service/silverware. Lots of flat spaces for your stuff. A gas grill with side burner, propane and grill utensils are provided. Campfire area with seating is right next to the cabin complete with one wheelbarrow of FREE firewood, picnic table, and reclining chairs right on the creek's edge. Yoga mat (1) provided, along with a full shelf of family games, and a box of children's books. Wine glasses (with opener) and a welcoming front porch with seating and side tables for four begs for your relaxation. We are in an area free from light pollution, so night skies are brilliant with millions of stars. Know your zodiac signs when you come because you can see them all, and a couple dozen orbiting satellites as well. Please note we are NOT near Branson, MO or Lake of the Ozarks. We are on the opposite side of Missouri. We are very close to the area's main attractions: Johnson Shut-Ins State Park, Elephant Rocks State Park, miles and miles of Ozark Trail, K Bridge Recreation Area on Black River at Annapolis, Rocky Falls, Clearwater Lake, Blue Spring, Round Spring, Big Spring, Alley Spring, Amaden State Park, Pickle Springs State Park, Mill Spring Gardens, Silver Mines Park. Plus a day trip through the area will provide over ten great antique stores/malls/flea markets. Or over ten nearby wineries. But, you can also easily spend your days happily in solitude and never leave the cabin. Soak your feet in the creek just off the porch, read an entire book, enjoy a campfire. Everyone who comes here wishes they had more days to see all that is available in this hidden gem of the Ozark Mountains. If you love twisty roads, tree-lined blacktops, reach-out-and-touch nature is the place to spend a few days or a few weeks. Rated by our guests as the very best place to "go camping" without any of the camping hassle. Morning mist, campfires and memories await you at Cabin On The Creek. We are located in Annapolis, MO.

About Evan & Rhesa Funk
We’re a writer and a carpenter. We’re outdoor lovers, adventurists, entrepreneurs and the owners of two spoiled dogs. When we purchased these eight acres we had only a massive forest and two crystal clear creeks; we are turning it into an oasis of happiness one little project at a time. We love motorcycle camping trips, outdoor excursions, campfires, dream chasing and building stuff. We abide by the motto, “How we spend our days is how we live our lives”…and we believe in living life to the fullest always and all ways. We reside on this property in a little travel trailer while we build our Not-Quite-A-Tiny House in our spare time, we plan to move in October 2017. Our little bunkhouse, Cabin on the Creek, is the place we created to provide serenity and peace for our visitors.
Evan & Rhesa Funk purchased this Cabin in 2014
Why Evan & Rhesa Funk chose Annapolis
Morning mountain mist, the sound of a babbling brook, trees that touch the a few of the reasons we decided to homestead this property from a gnarly forest. The mountains and crystal clear rivers and streams called out to us. And we came. We bought property and made a life here. It's been the journey of a lifetime and we love sharing it with our guests.

Charming and clean. The owners are very nice people.
Nice cabin. Comfortable and like new.
The cabin was the perfect quiet, cozy spot to spend a few days away from reality. Very clean and the hospitality was top-notch! Even in August we were perfectly comfortable spending our nights outside in front of the fire. Thank you so much for the ultimate off-the-grid vacation!
Beautiful and Comfortable Cabin
My husband, daughter and I stayed in the Cabin on the Creek for 3 nights. We had a wonderful stay. It’s so relaxing sitting on the porch overlooking the creek. My 3-year-old daughter loved playing in the creek and feeding the fish. The owners are so kind and they really have a special place here! We hope to come back again someday for another stay.
Thanks so much for choosing Cabin on the Creek, Tori. We're very glad your little family enjoyed the creek, the cabin and the creations! We appreciate your kind words, and certainly will look forward to your return. We'd love to host you again someday.
So relaxing and good for the soul! Everything we were wanting.
The first time I seen this cabin I just knew I had to go there. We spent three nights there and could have stayed four. We were sad to leave and definitely will return. Evan and Rhesa are two of the most awesome people you could ever meet. They are very friendly and accommodating but also very much respect your privacy.
The cabin was perfect! The craftsmanship is awesome and there was not one single detail left out. (The beds are so very comfortable) there is so much information in the cabin about places to go and eat, also well wrote directions. Evan and Rhesa are also very helpful when you asked questions.
We truly enjoyed the cabin but we very much enjoyed the campfires, conversation, laughs and insights we gained. Truely one of the best weekends we have ever had and hope to return soon.
If you are wanting a relaxing get away or wanting to go sightseeing there are so many beautiful things close by to see.
We know you have choices for lodging in our area, and we thank you very much for choosing Cabin on the Creek. The mountains, creeks, streams, waterfalls, natural springs....we're glad you enjoyed all this and more. You all were a joy to host, and we're happy you enjoyed your stay. Looking forward to your return...
