One of eight homes that share 25 acres and 1000 feet of Sandy Beach on Spectacular Southold Bay. A stunning waterfront peninsula with the feel of a historical private family compound from the 1920's is unlike almost anything that exists today.
The Seven Gables: Not the house from Nathaniel Hawthorne's classic American novel -- but ours does have an English flair to the exterior with it's Seven Gables. Access to the covered brick patio from living and dining rooms. Kitchen, living room with fireplace, sun room/guest room and half bath down. Three bedrooms and one full bath with claw-foot tub upstairs for soaking. Private outside showers only at this vintage beach house! There is a tiny room with bunk bed off of the kitchen too that can accommodate 2 children.
Our tenants often say they do experience a peaceful feeling of nostalgia and happiness that many refer to as "soul soothing", "healing" and "magical" at our location. The house is an old time traditional summer house with kitchen and baths and decor pre-1960. It's not for everyone but it has been maintained with re-finished wood floors, new mosaic tile in the upstairs bath, newer appliances and bedding all within the last 5 years.
The house sits creek-side on Petty's Pond inlet with views to the north but views of the bay can be seen from the covered brick patio on the south side of the house. Kick off your shoes, grab a book and relax on the patio or spend your day at the spectacular sandy beach just steps away!
