3 bedroomed town house sleeps up to 8 with Wells Cathedral Views
About Suzanne Hart
We live in a village just outside of Cheddar which is about 7 miles from Wells.
Suzanne Hart purchased this House in 2007
Why Suzanne Hart chose Wells
We both love the beautiful City of Wells with it's medieval architecture and unique atmosphere and when this property came on the market we couldn't resist it.
What makes this House unique
We fell in love with the views of Wells Cathedral and Glastonbury Tor from the house. It is only a short walk down one of the oldest streets in Wells to the centre plus there is a very good pub at the end of this street!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Great holiday accommodation
Comfortable, spacious, , clean, well appointed with everything you need, abundance of washing facilities. Altogether very acceptable.
And very close to the cathedral and town.
Great home for our 4 days in Wells
We loved our stay in this property. We couldn’t find any faults with the accommodation. It was easy to find, access and there was lots of useful information. The centre of Wells is an easy 10min walk away, where there are lots of shops, cafes and the markets. We would also recommend The Fountain for dinner. We will definitely use this location again next time we visit Wells.
Clean, equipped and well positioned
Great house in a good location to see Wells. Didn’t use car at all. Well equipped house in quiet location.. made for excellent break.
Delightful and spacious property
Property is conveniently located a little under a mile from the centre of Wells and the cathedral. It’s in a quiet area with space for parking a car. The name is accurate – if you are on the top floor!
It’s on three floors with plenty of space for a large family. (but be aware that access to the top floor might be a little difficult for the less able).
It’s very clean and all the usual facilities may be found in the property such as:
• Free wifi,
• Washer dryer
• Fridge/freezer etc
There’s more than one front door key which makes life easier for families.
Also inside the property were two season tickets to access the Cathedral and Bishops Palace Gardens (which are stunning). This is a thoughtful extra.
There’s a large Tesco and Morrisons within a mile and a petrol station with a small Budgens within 5 mins walk.
There was good communication before and during the stay which was great – however I would have appreciated a quick message after my stay when the property was cleaned confirming the return of the deposit which arrived back a week after my departure.
Recommended and I’ll return next time I’m in the area.
Great base to explore a fantastic Catedral City
We stayed in Wells for a weekend reunion at a friends nearby home. We were 5 - our two giorls, and my sister also staying with us. Cathedral view was the perect base for a lovely time in Wells. It is a spectacualr place, and the Cathedral and Bishops gardens are a must see, and the house is the perfect 10 min walk from all the areas of town that should be visited. Everything in the house was as described, and check in was easy (and we even were able to check in early thanks to the owners generosity). We booked it due to the number of posative reviews, and we were very happy with our choice. It is places like this that are the reason we rely on Home away for many of our vacation needs when traveliing across europe.
We enjoyed the property and would come again. Very clean. Wells good also
Thank you. It was a pleasure hosting you. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.
The City of Wells is an ideal base for touring the West Country, with Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury, Regency Bath, Bristol and the seaside resort of Weston-Super-Mare all in close proximity. For those who like to get some exercise there is excellent walking in the nearby Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (the West Mendip Way starts just half a mile from St Thomas Mews) with cycling and bird watching on the Somerset Levels. Sporting facilities in the area include racing at Wincanton and Bath, golf at Wells and near Oakhill. There is also a leisure centre in Wells.
