Guests will revel in the serene ambiance of the cabin done entirely in Douglas Fir and rustic red cedar. Situated on a hill surrounded by lush green forests, the cabin is only 5 minutes walk from the beach.
This 450 sq ft cabin features a separate bedroom that has a large king size bed that looks out through French glass doors into the forest. A gorgeous contemporary living room furnished with a large comfy couch, a wood burning stove and a small kitchenette to prepare meals should you wish to dine in. The bathroom is the showpiece of the cabin with slate tiles, a large clawfoot tub, rain shower and stunning aromatic cedar walls.
Cabin on Paradise is a destination in itself for those wishing to “get away from it all.” Relax by a roaring fire while sipping a glass of local wine. Sit on the deck and watch the bald eagles fly overhead. Go for a walk on the park trails that start from the cabin’s front door or read a book while you revel in the silence that envelopes you.
We are a Canadian / German family living in the beautiful Cowichan Valley for over 10 years. We were drawn to the valley because of it's beautiful nature, the diversity of it's culture and the healthy lifestyle it provides.
Cindy Storie-Soth purchased this cabin in 2013
Ten years ago we built our log home and two years ago we completed our log cabin vacation rental. Located on 1.5 acres, bordering parkland and close to the beach our home and vacation rental cabin provide beauty, quiet and the serenity of nature.
My wife, 6 month old and I spent 5 nights in this gorgeous log cabin. Cindy and Mandfred were friendly hosts and accommodated our needs. The cabin is beautiful, comfortable and well equipped. We managed to do all our meals using the small kitchenette & the BBQ. The location is good for exploring the Cowichan Valley/Shawnigan Lake area and in a nice quiet area - very peaceful with the woods at your door. We were able to come and go as we please. We'd definitely look at going back on our next visit to the area.
We've stayed a few times before, and it is always a relaxing stay. We appreciated the addition of the stove ring and griddle. Though we did not use them, it is nice to know they are an option for us. Thank you!
Very relaxing, bed sheets were awesome, (sheets very soft). We loved it!! Thank you so much!
We really enjoyed our stay at this very cozy, beautifully decorated, cabin.
This is a lovely little spot to spend a few nights. My husband and I enjoyed it greatly and the owners are very friendly. The cabin is well equipped although the sink in the kitchen is pretty tiny - don't try to cook any elaborate meals - eat out at one of the wineries or bring some easy to prepare food. We walked around the trails and neighborhood - it's so beautiful and peaceful.
All wood inside, (log walls, flooring, ceiling) very pretty to look at, beautifully decorated, especially the bathroom.
Enjoyed waking up to see the trees on the hill outside the bedroom french doors.
Kitchen: only about 4 sq ft of counter space and a small sink and a small fridge!
Just plan to heat up leftovers and boil water on the stove top. No microwave!
(The kitchen is why I knocked off a star.)
Gorgeous sunrise out the side window.
Enjoyed a lovely foamy soak in the large deep tub.
We didn't use the outside patio as it was cold.
Nice fireplace really throws out the heat.
Would we stay again? Yes!
Would definitely stay here again, a great location, close to amenities. Private and so comfortable. It was a perfect couples retreat!
