About the property

3 BR/2BA with 180 degree views of Lake from LR and DR and deck!

Nestled just a couple of miles off of Route 378 on the south side of Lake Murray at the end of road and the end of a cove is our charming Lakefront contemporary.

There is plenty of room for multiple families or one large family as it comfortably sleeps 8 people. A deck wraps 1/2 of the way around the house ending in a quaint screened in area so you can always see the lake! You can even watch the kids fishing or swimming off the dock from the deck.

The living area is walled on one side with glass looking out onto the deck and the lake beyond and turns in toward a fireplace centerpiece. The dining area is open to the living and there is even a Chess table.

3 bedrooms and 2 baths welcome the weary and exhausted after fun in the sun. Bedroom 1 has 2 twins and opens onto the screened porch. It shares a bath with bedroom 2 which has a queen bed. Bedroom 3 has a queen bed and a trundle bed for 2 and this room has it's own bath.

The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, ready for the cook! There is a brand new Refrigerator and microwave as well as a toaster and toaster oven!

Large floating dock has year round water and you can pull multiple boats up to it. We sit almost at the end of a long wide cove that makes the swimming and kayaking peaceful and quiet.

Come enjoy Lake Murray!

About Steve Teets

Steve and I (Cindy) moved to SC from Wash DC in 2004 and absolutely love Lake Murray. We think it is the best kept secret in the South. This is our 2nd VRBO property. Our first (VRBO#153869) we have had for 10 yrs. We decided to provide another one because we have had so much fun meeting people all over the country. I think Alaska was our farthest traveler! We get lot's of return guests who are now best friends.

Steve Teets purchased this house in 2013

Why Steve Teets chose Gilbert

This is a great gathering place for friends and family! There is a lot of light in the house and the layout makes a perfect vacation house. Relax indoors or out. The lot is large and private. The dock sits in a deep water cove which makes it perfect for large boats. It makes for safe safe swimming and fishing off the dock. The house is close in to Lexington. landing.

What makes this house unique

The cove protects your boat in a storm and you can park your trailer on the lot. The house is close into Lexington and less than 30 minutes to the airport and downtown Columbia. The floor plan is open with lots of light and great views. The deck allows you to enjoy the outdoors.

Generally clean.Dusty lamp shades and artificial plants. Lake was down so the dock acess was steep

  • 4 of 5

We arrived and had no difficulty getting in. Love all the sliding glass doors for total view of the outdoors/lake. I recommend trimming some branches for better view. Also sturdy rail on one side of ramp to the floating dock for safety.

Beding and linens were adiquite. Kitchen faucet needs updating.

Screen on outside porch needs repair.

We had s good time even though we were worried about our property concerning hurricane Irma.

We left early to get back to get things back to normal at home.

Lovely little lake escape.

Thanks Steve and Cindi.

Peaceful place

  • 5 of 5

This lake house is a beautiful home and it is on a peaceful cove on the lake.

It was a great place for our family to have fun and make memories spending time together.

The home was clean and the kitchen was well supplied with everything you would need

to prepare meals. We would love to rent it again.
