Quaint and close to nature
Our group of seven women had a good weekend away in Robert's home. It is an old home- expect that older home smell. That said, there are plenty of windows to open and let the fresh air in. The home came equipped with the necessities - though the seven women did notice the lack of mirrors, particularly full-length ;) The home is close to fantastic hiking, wineries, and barns. There was a great farmers market in an adorable part of Washington Depot, close to an awesome bookstore and coffee shop! Robert was extremely communicative and that was very much appreciated. I would recommend this home.
Beautiful Home Well Suited for a Family Gathering
The House was perfect for a family gathering on the occasion of our daughter's entrance into the novitiate at nearby Regina Laudis Abbey. I would highly recommend the house to anyone who is seeking a place for a number of family members to stay in a beautiful location in the Washington, Connecticut area.
Wonderful place to stay. I would highly recommend this house. Beautiful quiet area and Robert the owner was very available for questions.
Beautiful house, great experience
House is huge, comfortably slept 10, and had a great kitchen. Would highly recommend! Thanks for a great stay.
We enjoyed our stay here very much! This home is much bigger than we thought and it was fun staying in a historic home with lots of character. We were visiting family, but enjoyed staying in this historic area. Washington Depot is a cute little town and we made several trips to Bantam for great food and bread.
charm, character, with modern conviences
My family stayed here for a wedding at the Grace Mayflower in June. The house has so much character with wide plank floors, lot's of nooks and crannies, with a wonderful modern kitchen. Very spacious living areas and bedrooms, clean, and well furnished with everything we needed. The hosts were very informative and responsive. The house has window air conditioners in the bedrooms. There is one air conditioner downstairs -- we weren't there during the hottest part of the day, but feel that would be adequate except for an extreme hot day. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend. Very close to the center of town -- a couple minute drive. Across from the Grace Mayflower and the Gunnery school.
