About Christina Zacharia
I'm originally from Greece and have now lived in Amsterdam for three and a half years. I still love Amsterdam and traveling. Jordaan is my favorite neighbhorhood, it has the sense of living in the authentic picturesque Amsterdam you see in pictures without too many tourists.
Christina Zacharia purchased this Apartment in 2017
Why Christina Zacharia chose Jordaan
This apartment will give you the authentic feeling of being a local living in the Jordaan. All the important sights are a short walk away, but importantly you are surrounded by the local shops, markets, restaurants, and cafe's of the Jordaan. You could spend a weekend here and never have to wander farther than 100 meters away from the apartment!

The apartment was perfect for our stay. The stairs weren’t an issue at all for my husband and I. Place was clean and looked exactly like the photos. Very close to tram stops as well. We would definitely stay again when we are back in the area!
Perfectly centrally located apartment. It was super clean, spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed the location and was easy to walk everywhere from the apartment. We would choose this apartment again for our next trip to Amsterdam.
This apartment is one of the best we have stayed in whilst in Amsterdam. Christina the host and her house manager Paini are both very nice people and happy to help at any point. I couldn't fault the apartment at all and it was reasonably priced. Comfy bed, good shower, big comfy sofa and well equipped kitchen. Good location with shops and restaurants nearby and within easy walking distance of Dam Square. Trams run past the Apartment with the nearest stop only a few minutes walk away. Would definitely recommend this apartment and would love to stay here again.
Wonderful Apartment in the Jordaan
I really don't know where to start! We arrived in Amsterdam and took the train from the airport to Centraal Station (super easy). In front of the station is the tram stop and tram 13 or 17 will take you to the apartment, getting off at the Westermarkt stop. Walking west over the Prinsengracht canal the apartment is a very short distance.
When we arrived, Paini welcomed us. She was wonderful, showing us around the apartment and answering all of our questions. The apartment exceeded our expectations. It had everything you needed to make you feel as if you were at home. It was very comfortable and warm and the location is the best! The tram is minutes from apartment or you can walk anywhere, the neighborhood is beautiful.
Christine contacted us shortly after we arrived and welcomed us. The communication was great with both Paini and Christine.
We loved our 12 days in Amsterdam and hope to return someday. Thank you so much for having this lovely apartment for us to enjoy!
Fantastic quiet apartment in the heart of Amsterdam
We spent 4 weeks in Amsterdam in this wonderful apartment, we'd gladly stay here again in the future! (Already planning a trip back next fall :-)
There's plenty of space with a big living room and spacious bedroom. The kitchen was well appointed and perfect for making breakfast and some dinners, though we did eat out at night quite a bit, there are so many great restaurants within easy walking distance. Having a dishwasher as well as a washer and dryer was great. The bedroom has a nice king size bed and plenty of closet space.
The apartment is very quiet. It's a concrete building and there are actually two sets of double pane windows at the front. We were amazed at how well they worked when there was some construction right outside, we could barely hear it! The bedroom is at the back of the apartment, with two doors separating it from the kitchen and living room. A small patio off the bedroom overlooks a nice courtyard with lots of trees and greenery.
We really enjoyed this place, highly recommended!
Perfect location. Beautiful, clean space. Home away from home.
Our stay in Amsterdam was magnificent, and that had a lot to do with Christina’s beautiful, clean, and well appointed apartment. I can’t recommend her apartment highly enough! All the main attractions were easily within walking distance, and the Anne Frank house is just a block away. It was easy to explore by foot or bike, and we enjoyed every minute of our four days in Amsterdam! The apartment itself was clean, spacious, and met our every need. We cooked a couple dinners there, had every breakfast there, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. A small grocery store is just a block away, and a larger one a few more. Super easy! We arrived on an early flight, and Christina’s apartment manager met us there so that we could leave our luggage and explore the city while she cleaned the apartment after the previous visitors’ stay. She was so accommodating, so kind, and gave us some good direction in terms of where to find the grocery store, and what to do. The apartment fit the four of us very well; the beds were very comfortable, and we even had shampoo, soap, and slippers waiting for us. What a nice touch! We wish we could have stayed longer, but we hope to make it back one day and stay in this apartment. Also, communication with Christina was excellent! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
This is the famous Jordaan neighborhood in Amsterdam. I love it because it is the genuine Amsterdam. You can walk anywhere in the center within 15 minutes but also easily spend a weekend here without walking more than 150 meters with everything within a stone's throw. Trendy shops, bakeries, cafe's, and restaurants are peppered all around. The Anne Frank House is a short walk on the Prinsengracht.
In this neighborhood everything is pretty much within 10-15 minutes walking, so I would really recommend walking or renting a bicycle. There is a tram stop a two minute walk away (13 and 17) and also a bus stop. Getting to and from Schiphol Airport you take bus 197 (10 minute walk) which comes about 3 times an hour, costs 4 Euro, and takes about 35 minutes. If you prefer to get a ride, I recommend an Uber, it will cost about 23 Euro and take ~25 minutes. To and from Centraal Station you can take Tram 17 or 13 and takes about 11 minutes. If you are going to use the public transport I suggest you buy a 24 or 48 hour pass. Otherwise you will pay 2.70 Euro for a single 1-hour ride pass!
