This cozy and comfortable two bedroom/one bath apartment is attached to my home. I live in the historic district in Apalachicola and a steamboat builder built my house in the late 1800’s. In the south, homes were built with the kitchens not part of the main house to prevent the heat going into the home. This apartment at one time was the original kitchen and later attached to the main house. My Mother-In-Law lived in the apartment until she went into nursing care. The apartment has been painted and has new carpet. There is a Queen bed (with new mattress) in the master bedroom. The second bedroom has a full size bed. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. There is also a Queen sleeper sofa in the living room. There is basic cable TV and a DVD player. Free WiFi. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with dishes, pots and pans, flatware, full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and blender. (Sorry, no dishwasher). There is a washer/dryer unit in the apartment. You will have a small private screened in porch. Plenty of free parking, plus there is room to park your boat/trailer. You are minutes to our Battery Park Marina and one block to the beautiful Apalachicola Bay. This is an extremely safe community and the apartment is in a very quiet residential neighborhood. This is a great area to take walks and to ride bikes. It is about a five-minute walk to our quaint downtown shopping area. We have absolutely fantastic restaurants! Our beautiful St. George Island is less than a 15-minute drive. Extra amenities can be provided for reasonable fees; such as daily housekeeping.
