Wonderful cabin - lovely place to spend a family weekend.

  • 4 of 5

We thought this location was perfect for our family gathering to celebrate my birthday. The deck was a perfect place to hang out and we enjoyed sitting together on the comfy sofa with feet propped up. But of course, having access to the lovely scenery and the abundance of animals was the highlight. The kids loved Martha, the camel and will never forget the experience of standing near feeding deer. We also loved swimming and hunting for fossils in the Bosque River. We hope to make this an annual tradition.

Great relaxing trip, cabin was the perfect place.

  • 5 of 5

This was our 2nd time to stay at this property and I see us coming back a 3rd time, and probably more. The cabin and safari are well maintained and Clifton is not far from other area attractions in Glen Rose (Dino State Park, Dino World, Fossil Rim). We did not go out and eat much in Clifton, as we cooked at the cabin most of the time. If your kids love pizza, Royal Pizza is very good and for BBQ, Bunkhouse BBQ was great.

The creek in front of the cabin would be perfect for a hot summer day, little too cool in the spring. Internet is spotty at the cabin, but you are in the country after all.... Enjoy it!

Our family stayed here the week of Thanksgiving 2015. We had an unforgettable time and my kids keep asking when we will return. Between exploring the ranch, fishing or even just walking thru the old town our kids were occupied 24/7. The owner was extremely friendly and both he and his staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. Texas Safari Ranch should be on everyone's bucket list.

Gorgeous property!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We received a warm welcome upon our arrival and were escorted immediately to our cabin. The property was beautiful and exactly as described online. The beds were comfortable, the pantry well-stocked with essentials, and the rooms were all spacious. We enjoyed a group meal inside, as well as visiting on the outdoor deck overlooking the hills with a beautiful setting sun. Super relaxing!

Amazing Bachelor Party Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time that I have been out to the Texas Safari Ranch for a bachelor party. This time I was the best man and knew that this was the perfect getaway destination for my best friend.

The place is absolutely gorgeous and it is in a nice secluded area where all of us guys were able to relax, play sports, fish, swim, hike, and chill. The host was extremely accommodating and always was quick to reply via email or phone on any questions I had. Louis was amazing and quickly brought us a new propane tank, more fishing poles, and showed us around the place.

If I am the best man for any other weddings, I will again plan for this place to be our weekend of paradise.
