When we first walked into our villa, we simply said, “Wow!” Now we invite you to discover this charming place for yourself at a very affordable price.
The beach is within walking distance, about a block and a half away.
Our Amelia Landings villa includes two bedrooms, two baths, a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room, and a large fully screened porch. We can accommodate a maximum of four adults and two children. A DVD player is available, along with cable television and a flat screen TV, wireless internet, and free long distance telephoning within the United States. Amenities include books, beach chairs and towels, fish poles, tennis racquets, DVD’s, and more. The appliances (stove, dishwasher, washer, dryer) have recently been replaced. We think it is wonderful, but don’t take our word for it. Look at the pictures and decide for yourself.
Amelia Landings is a quiet community nestled among one hundred year old live oak trees. It features walking trails, a tennis court, and a large pool. Our second floor villa is a private end unit that overlooks a large pond. Even though Amelia Landings is secluded, it is only a block and a half from the wide white sand beach that stretches for miles and is only minutes away from the Fernandina historic district, excellent restaurants, lots of shopping, and much more.
We all have a happy place, a place where we are simply delighted with what we are doing. For some of us it is shopping for antiques, trendy new fashions, or consignment deals. For others the happy place is golf, tennis, horseback riding, or surfing. For some it is simply curling up with a good book on the beach or on our screened-in porch overlooking trees, plants, flowers and a pond.
Beautiful Amelia Island has been rated as one of the top ten islands in the United States. It offers all of the above and much more. You can walk one of the many hiking trails, go for a drive through tree lined Fort Clinch State park, walk the beaches, go fishing or on a boat tour, hunt for shark’s teeth and other gifts from the sea, enjoy your favorite beverage while watching the sunset over the water, worship at a church of your choice, or eat at one of the many outdoor restaurants. You are only thirty minutes from Jacksonville, twenty-five minutes from the airport, and a few hours from Orlando to the South or Savannah to the North.
Our Amelia Landings villa provides a serene, peaceful, delight-full place for re-creation and renewal.
We live in Rush New York, a rural community just South of Rochester. We’ve been coming to Fernandina Beach for nearly twenty years, and thoroughly enjoy being on “island time.” We had been looking to buy for quite a while. When we found this villa in Amelia Landings, it was the perfect spot for us. Among our favorite activities are sunrise beach walking, shark tooth hunting, dining at favorite restaurants, and sitting on the screened-in balcony to enjoy a late afternoon glass of wine. We both “flunked” retirement and enjoy a blend of leisure time and activities that give back to the community.
Lisa Inglis purchased this condo in 2013
We love our villa because it is secluded and quiet and close to the beach. We also like the feeling of serenity born out of simple elegance that we have created in our special place.
We enjoyed our stay in your condo. I would suggest upgrading the double bed to a queen bed. Also, we found that there was not enough comfortable seating for 4 adults to watch television. The sofa was really nice but 2 more chairs, upholstered type, would have made our comfort level perfect. We decided to sell our FL/GA tickets and watch the game at the condo. The TV is small for viewing so a larger TV in the living room area would be nice. These are just suggestions. We really enjoyed the clean, nice environment. The walk to the beach was not a problem at all and we enjoyed a beautiful four day stay. Thank you for providing such a nice getaway.
We enjoyed our stay. The condo was charming and comfortable. We loved the porch.
My husband and I arrived on a Saturday night, anxious to settle in and prepare our week's activities. For starters, we went out back to locate the beach chairs and fishing rods, we found a cluttered closet on the lanai, which was filled with beach toys and sand. No beach chairs, one fishing rod, and two dilapidated beach umbrellas. Perhaps an oversight, we thought, so we contacted the manager who never returned our calls. We then reached out to the owner, who kindly agreed to handle the matter. The chairs appeared on our porch by morning, luckily we found them, because the manager did not call to let us know she planned to drop them off. We received a text message from her later, at which time I asked her about the fishing pole(s). She said, "We provide one." I responded by highlighting the information we received upon booking, which stated, two poles would be onsite. No response. Ok, we thought, only one of us could fish at a time. It now became obvious to us, this property manager was not concerned with the satisfaction of her "paid" guests. The lanai, provided a lovely scenery, but with no fans and no open windows, it was hard to enjoy, given mid 80 degree temps and extreme humidity. There was one love-seat in the living room, one chair, and a decorative piece that could barely hold the weight of a child. The bedroom pillows were old and flat, and the bathrooms were small, disinfectants were not found under the sinks as would commonly be provided by any "luxury rental" for the sake of normal hygienic upkeep. The kitchen was described as modern and user friendly, though the faucet was broken, the dishwasher reeked and contained residue of cleanser in the dispenser, and not working properly. The water from all sources had a very foul smell, and in order to clean dishes, we ran hot water into the sink and soaked the few glasses and plates we used for snacks. On our last morning at the condo, I laundered all of the linens, and towels, folded them neatly, and placed them back into their appropriate closets, with a note to the manager--"one final load of morning towels was left in the dryer upon our departure." Nearing home, I realized that I had forgotten my souvenir t-shirt in the dryer. I texted Lisa about it, and she said it was not there. Never asked if we'd enjoyed our trip, just said, if it comes up, she'd let me know. 😢We loved Amelia Island and historic downtown Fernandina. We plan to visit again, but won't be staying here.
I don't know where to begin. This place was great! My wife is a germophobe and anywhere we stay she has her Clorox wipes, baby wipes to wipe things down. This is the first place we stayed that she said just felt clean.
Plenty of board games, cards, puzzles, tennis rackets, fishing poles to keep the family busy after day at the beach. Plenty of beach towels, toys, umbrellas for the beach. Not to mention a short 5/10 minute walk. First time at Amelia Island and I fell in love. Beaches were great. Would love to go back one day.
We also had enough cookware to use to prepare meals. Appliances were top notch. Very pleased with our stay. Loved sitting on the patio, watching the turtles, fish and gators in the pond.
Pool was great.
I've rented several times through VRBO and this by far, has been my favorite.
It was nice, clean and comfortable. We are planning on coming back sometime. We will diffidently use this again!
We had a wonderful time on Amelia Island. The condo at Amelia Landings was perfect for our needs. It was very clean and comfortable. The walk to the beach wasn't as bad as I thought it would have been- had my husband not torn his Achilles tendon back in April, we would have walked everytime! The complex was quiet and the pond outside was beautiful. We enjoyed eating at the Crab Trap and Sliders on the beach. We can't wait to visit again!
The Atlantic Ocean and sandy beaches are only minutes away, along with great restaurants, state and local parks, and plenty of shopping opportunities.
