Three bedroom, two bath home on a quiet residential street

This newly-remodeled home, located in upscale North McAllen, provides a full kitchen, washer & dyer, cable TV and wireless internet. Two of the bedrooms have queen-size beds. A third bedroom has a day bed and trundle bed (both twin size mattresses). And for those extra guests, the sleeper sofa in the living room folds out into a queen-size bed. All towels, bedding and kitchen items are included. Housekeeping is provided prior to move-in, and extra housekeeping services can be arranged during your stay. In addition to convenient street parking, we have an attached two-car garage. (The owner keeps a car on one side of the garage, but there is room for one more vehicle.) A short two blocks away is beautiful Bill Schupp Park, and fine dining and shopping are within easy walking distance. We get frequent return guests, so book early!

This property reflects the careful and exquisite touch of one of the Rio Grande Valley's top interior decorators. Every piece of furniture, fixture, wall and floor treatments and even colors of trim paint complement each other. Some guests have described our home as equivalent to a five-star resort.

McAllen itself is a unique bicultural city, but due to the many U.S. and foreign assembly plants (maquiladoras) a few miles across the border in Reynosa, Mexico, it also caters to globally-based firms. The city has literally every kind of restaurant you can imagine. Our home is on a safe, quiet residential street in upscale North McAllen, but close to excellent shopping and fine dining.

And you're within easy driving distance of day trips to Mexico, South Padre Island, and other experiences to make your stay exciting and comfortable.

What makes this townhome unique

Our guests love this place because it has all the comforts of home, and entire families can stay here, unlike hotels where family is usually split up between different rooms. We continue to upgrade the property. We have completely remodeled both bathrooms, including completely new fixtures and granite countertops. We also have remodeled the kitchen. In addition to new countertops and cabinets, we created of a bistro/breakfast bar area so family and friends can gather in the kitchen for casual dining and relaxation.

If dining in is not your thing, we are literally a few minutes walk away from a great coffee shop, plus restaurants of every kind on 10th Street.

And even though we are right in the heart of the best McAllen has to offer, we live on a quiet residential street that ends in a cul-de-sac, so your relaxation time won't be disturbed.

If you're like us, you'll find it hard to leave!

We are just two blocks - and a 3 minute walk - from Bill Schupp Park. This 19-acre park is perfect for all. Children can play on the many swings, slides, and merry-go-rounds. Those that enjoy exercise will love the fitness trail. And finally, picnic areas tie it all together to make it a wonderful place for a family gathering. This home was PERFECT for us. We were in the RGV visiting family. The house is located in a prime location in North McAllen with shopping, dining & entertainment very close by. The house is nicely decorated, spacious and very clean. The living and dining areas are big. The kitchen and utility rooms are well equipped/stocked. The two bedrooms and bonus room (w/ daybed and trundle bed) easily and comfortably accommodated our family of five. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The garage space was another super nice bonus. Honestly, I can't say enough about this place. It was great! The owner and local property manager were super helpful and friendly. We visit the RGV about once a year, and we are hoping to stay here again. Thank you Steven & Tammy!

Made us feel at ease during our stay

Our family all had a great time during our month-plus stay at the end of summer. Two thumbs up. Nice quiet location with easy access to the city. The park was less than a five minute walk and a very nice bonus. Very practical layout of the home with large master shower. Parking was available in the garage and off street. We felt very safe and relaxed during our stay.

It was wonderful!

We really love staying here. We have two daughters and it has so much space for them to sleep and play. We also love have soaps and detergents readily available for use. The house is stocked well and the liason, Tammy was so sweet!!

Other unique opportunities include getting custom-made boots in Nuevo Progreso, Mexico, followed by lunch at Arturo's, where the second margarita is free. Or go to South Padre Island for shelling, swimming, fishing or sand castle building lessons. See tropical birds on their migratory path at Quinta Mazatlan. In the winter season, join Winter Texans in enjoying musical performances by entertainers that come south from Branson to take it the warm dry winter months. The musical scene also includes some very talented local musicians with a variety of styles from mariachi to bolero.
