About Vacasa, OR - Central Oregon Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Don't stay here!!!

  • 1 of 5

This property is not at all what the pictures imply. We had to move out after one night because it smelled of mold and dust. The furniture was old and dusty. It could be a nice place, but needs some work! Fortunately, the rental company Vacasa treated us properly and refunded most of our money.

Needs some major love

  • 2 of 5

I can see how this home at one time was a great place to stay. It's pretty run down and dingy now. Lots of different smells. The beds are really bad. It just needs some major TLC. We were afraid to use anything for fear it might break. We enjoyed the location and amenities.

5 Tan Oak

  • 4 of 5

Interesting but cool floor plan. Lots of steep steps. Mother in Law had some difficulty getting around. The downstairs bedroom is private but right under the kitchen so you could hear every single movement from those who stayed upstairs. Refrigerator is incredibly loud. Dining room and Living room areas are nice and cozy. For Part of the trip the outside temperatures reached 90 degrees. Having no air conditioner in the unit wasn't ideal. Nice location. 5 Min to village though.

Not much privacy for multiple families

  • 3 of 5

My husband and I, his parents and our four year old son stayed in this house for 4 nights during the Sunriver Triathlon Festival in June. The house is in a good location and is very well stocked, however the layout was challenging. The lower level has one good bedroom with its own bathroom and a comfortable bed. This worked well for putting our son to bed earlier than everyone else. Unfortunately, it meant that we had to sleep in the very uncomfortable bed located in the open area just down the stairs. There are some blinds hung around the bed to create the illusion of privacy but we could hear everything just up the stairs (my in-laws speaking in low voices, night time bathroom use, early morning coffee being made in the kitchen, etc.) I'm not terribly picky about beds but this one was very hard. We could feel springs poking into us and creaking each time we moved. If we stayed any longer, I may have ended up sleeping on the floor. The third Queen bed is located in a small room above the kitchen. It is up a narrow flight of stairs and there is no bathroom. I worried about my in-laws (well into their 70's) coming down them to use the bathroom at night. The ceiling is sloped so that taller people have to watch their heads and there are two vents in the room that peer out into the living room and kitchen. My son enjoyed going upstairs to look through and talk through the vents, but clearly that made for very little privacy. The home is clean with all of the dishes you could want and a nice deck. It's just not terribly up to date with a very closed floor plan and rickety old furniture. I love Sunriver and have rented houses there a few other times. This one was just not my favorite.

This home should be classified as a two bedroom home with spare beds in family room and living room. The bedroom on the third level has very steep stair casing going to it. The master bedroom on lower floor is fine, however the area where the other two beds are placed are without walls and separated by wooden blinds that come half way down the side of the one bed, and acting as a headboard on the back. The bottom of the step going into the hot tub is broken and a safety issue if unaware. The irrigation system is broken and spraying water all over anyone walking to and fro mid morning.

Review 5 Tan Oak

the property was dated, but clean. I would not stay there again, because there are many other properties that are much nicer.
