About Debbie Breyfogle

We are a retired couple from Illinois and Wyoming. We love Cabo San Lucas, MX and love to travel.

Debbie Breyfogle purchased this condo in 2004

Why Debbie Breyfogle chose Baja California Sur

We have family who own at Misiones and we were looking for an investment opportunity. When this condo went on the market we fell in love with it.

What makes this condo unique

The balcony is totally private, the view is awesome and the condo is comfy, cozy and unbelievable!

Guestbook comments from the manager

We had a fabulous time and very much enjoyed your condo! It is very well stocked and nicely appointed. I loved the blue and yellow kitchen color scheme! Your instructions and tips were very helpful. We arrived at night after stops at Costco and Wal-Mart and had a little trouble b/c of that.

The deck views are wonderful, we felt we were on our own private yacht? We also loved the beach and snorkeling. We went to Chileano Bay to snorkel and thought there was more variety at our beach. We had lunch at the Grand Solmar on the pacific side which was not remarkable- tempura fish tacos. We had a terrific sea bass dinner at Sunset Mona Lisa the last night (we went to the Pizza place to see the sunset two other times). We avoided the tours to snorkeling areas and the arch as we had both right there at Missiones!

We also went to Mexican night at the pool bar but where underwhelmed with the food. However Pedro was very nice and gave us a good tip as to the best place to buy snorkeling gear. The grounds of are so lovely and very well maintained. We did have a very nice lunch in San Jose at a dive on the Blvd Mijares (after the roundabout on the left) - 3 Fish tacos and 2 beers for $7 which were very tasty and better than the fish tacos at the Grand Solmar.

We are looking forward to returning now that we know our way around a bit! I have also told my co-workers about your condo as well.

Thank you for all you did to make our vacation so perfect!

Couldn't have been better!

  • 5 of 5

In some respects I hate to give this condo such a great review for fear it will be booked the next time I need it however that's not fair.

There could not have been a better location for the 4 days we spent here. Quiet, clean, cozy and the pictures of the condo do not even come close to how nice it is. The view from the deck is absolutely stunning! Coffee on the deck watching the sunrise is a must each morning. Kitchen was just right for a meal or two, bathroom is spacious enough for two people and the shower is hot and plentiful. A/C worked very well and ceiling fans in each room moved the air around perfectly. The owners are very communicative and provide everything you could want to know about the place. Only small problem we had was locating the condo complex the first night especially with US mapping programs on our phones and no daylight. A suggestion would be to type in "Sunset Da Mona Lisa" as your destination and you can't go wrong because the condo complex is right next door. By the way we ate at the Sunset Da Mona Lisa as well as Puerta Vieja and you will enjoy either or both restaurants.

Enjoy but save a week for our return visit!

Owner's Response: Mark, Thank you for your wonderful review. We love our little piece of paradise and are always glad to hear how our guests feel. We have many repeat guests and welcome you back anytime. I will include in our information packet that the Thompson Hotel and the Sunset Da Mona Lisa are next to our resort. Regards, Debbie and Bill

Amazing views!!!

  • 5 of 5

We felt relaxed from the moment we stepped foot on the property. The pool, the landscaping and the sounds of the ocean were so welcoming. Once we entered the condo we didn't want to leave. The ocean views were great (spotted a few whales) and we could have spent the whole trip sitting on the patio! We were a little worried about staying in Cabo around Spring Break but this condo was a perfect mix of being in a quieter area but not too far from the action. Loved the poolside Mexican buffet on Weds night and bought fresh fish on Friday morning from a local vendor to grill that night on the patio. Would highly recommend Debbie's oceanside paradise!

Incredible Views, Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

We really had a great experience at Misiones Del Cabo and Debbie and Bills condo. The condo was very clean and just perfect for the two of us. You cannot get a better view being right on the water at their condo. We did have a problem with the internet at first but Debbie responded within an hour through email. Ed the property manager was there right away and fixed everything. He was great and it was nice to have that fast of a response. Hearing the waves all day and night was just what we wanted and we miss that.

Tacos at the pool bar were very good for lunch and the dinners that they do on Wednesday and Friday night were not to be missed and you can't beat the price. Everyone we had contact with at Misiones was very friendly and helpful. The front desk was very helpful with info and setting up tours, made it very easy.

We did not rent a car and the walk up the road to the main road was not too bad. Yes it was a little hot sometimes but that's why we went to Cabo for the warm weather. The buses run quite often and it's just a dollar into town.

We will definitely come back here again.

Thanks to Debbie and Bill for sharing their place with us.

Wonderful Honeymoon Spot!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I recently stayed at this beautiful little condo to celebrate our honeymoon. It was a cozy 1 bedroom, with a private balcony that sat right above a gorgeous seascape. We had everything we needed; a fully functioning kitchen, large bathroom with a walk-in shower, very comfortable bed, and a plethora of DVD's for the couple nights we stayed in. We stayed in August, so the resort was relatively secluded. We had a swim up bar with a mini kitchen that had the most delicious quesadillas! It was literally within 400 feet from our front door. Everyone on staff were so welcoming and accommodating. All of the other condo owners that we met were also fantastic people! We felt like we were part of the community within a couple days. Stevie and Michael who own condos at the Misiones Del Cabo were so helpful and generous and really made our stay fantastic! There was a great little cove that was a short walk down from our condo where we snorkeled and sun-bathed. (Stevie let us borrow his snorkeling gear), but I would recommend bringing some to anyone who stayed at the Misiones Del Cabo. Our balcony was gorgeous and soothing and at night we could see storms off into the distance that lit up the whole horizon, it was absolutely amazing! Debbie and Bill have a great condo and they were so sweet to us, they even sent us a honeymoon gift upon our arrival. The condo was very clean, and the resort itself was gorgeous. In one of the pools, you looked directly upon the Arch in Cabo San Lucas, and can witness some of the most beautiful sunsets. I highly recommend this resort to anyone. Families, couples, friends... It was a fantastic price for one of the most amazing weeks I've ever had. Thank you Debbie and Bill for the best honeymoon we could have imagined!

Return to Cabo

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our Cabo return after 18 years. We found the Missiones place and location very suitable and Debbie the owner always helpful and their site manager Ed equally so. We had a few items that needed attending to in our 20 day stay and they were quickly looked after.

The unit overall is very good-the kitchen area a bit small and dated but as reflected in the pictures-so if your planning to do a lot of in house cooking you should be aware of what it is from the pictures. The deck orientation is AAA -ocean front, private and set up to capture morning sun, a combo of sun and shade till about 2pm and then shade for balance of day-certainly what we wanted since a deck can be very hot in the afternoon and on in Cabo. You should note that deck is not suitable for small kids as railing is open and low-again see pictures. The bathroom, bedroom and living room all well balanced. The unit has almost everything you might need but bring binoculars which we did to better see the boats, local and cruise, whales etc.-Debbie it would be a nice touch maybe if you added this to things on site.

The unit has best suitability for two adults. You need to be in fair health since their are sidewalk slopes and stairs to tackle and a walk from the car parking area to you unit. The complex is quiet. The pool is warm water temp with a afternoon bar and grill service for most days and never overly crowded or noisy.

We had a car for part of our visit and other times we walked to main-road -a healthy walk of about 1 kilometer and caught local buses, cab'd it a few times etc-however it appears most people have a car to use and certainly for a short visit likely the way to go.

Overall when you balance the total place and amenities, relative location in Cabo, and along with cost we feel Debbie's place is between a 4 and 5 star and with a future modern kitchen and better deck railing it would be an easy 5.

In a future Cabo visits we would be looking to see if Debbie's place is available.
