About Nancy Heide
My wife and I got married on Isle of Palms in 2012 and got engaged on the fishing pier in 2011! Isle of palms holds a very special place in our hearts and we dreamed of someday purchasing a place on the island. We spend a lot of time in the cabin and take extra special care of our condo. The condo was recently renovated. We look forward to spending a lot of time on the island as it's just a short drive from home in Charlotte NC.
Nancy Heide purchased this Condo in 2013
Why Nancy Heide chose Isle of Palms
We chose this property because of the location to restaurants, shops and the beach. Having the kitchen and living area make a huge difference when your away from home. Decorated cozy and having internet and cable tv makes a difference.
What makes this Condo unique
Our first trip to Isle of Palms was in 2010 when friends let us stay in their cabin and we fell in love with IOP. From then on we are frequent visitors on the Island. Be careful you may find yourself shopping for a Sea Cabin after your visit!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
We love the sea cabins @ IOP
This sea cabin is very nice and upgraded. It was very clean and welcoming! The view is absolutely beautiful and well worth the walk up all of the stairs to the top floor! My only complaint was that the pool was very cloudy and looked dirty and that was super disappointing considering my 8 year old daughter just loves being in the pool. We did mention it to the property security and he said he called the pool maintenance staff. It did seem like the next day it was a little less cloudy but still not clear. The other issue was that the laundry room was very dirty and full of bugs. I wouldn't use that facility again. I understand that it is hot in the summer and the bugs come out but the laundry room is left open so the bugs just hang out in there. Otherwise, we had a fabulous time and will be visiting IOP again! This was our 2nd trip to IOP!
Excellent location and nice views
This condo was updated and had everything one would expect and more. The walkability was superb...barely used the vehicle all week except for when we visited nearby towns, etc. It was pleasantly decorated with coastal flair. There were some hiccups as far as storage for suitcases, etc. However, we could tell that efforts had been made to make it as storage friendly as the space would allow, i.e., storage cabinets in closets, storage in bathroom vanity, and under the coffee table. The kitchen includes a Keurig, and the bottles of water upon arrival were nice. Nancy quickly brought another parking pass when we asked for it, which we appreciated. It was difficult to eat at the kitchen island because we couldn't get the leaf that extends to stay up so our little one had to lap eat which was not ideal. Also, there was an exterminator who came, and our stuff was scattered about the place which was not great for him or us...but he was fast and friendly, and the fumes dissipated by the next day. Overall, I'm happy with our stay and appreciate all the little details in the condo that a lot of rentals lack, such as the abundance of cleaning supplies, extra linens, and plenty of towels. Would recommend for a couple, or for a small family. Perhaps a note about where/how to handle recyclables would help future guests as well...we had a huge bag of plastics and couldn't find anywhere on the sea cabins property to dispose of them. So we took them across street when we checked out and used their recylce bins in the puclic beach access bins. Thanks for a great stay, and we would definitely return in the future.
Great Place. Great Location
We just left isle of palms and this rental was perfect for two people. Centrally located with great access to the beach and pier.
The condo was perfect for the 2 of us. It was a nice relaxing getaway. There was a great ocean view from the unit and the beach was wonderful. We rented bikes and rode the beach as well as through the sweet little town. The roads have bike paths and sidewalks for riding. We ate at several of the restaurants nearby and ate even more during our visits to Charleston (20 minutes). Sooo much good food!! We used Lyft from there one time.
I liked that the door had a code so there were no keys to lose. Something happened with the code on the last day but we were back in business after talking with the rental company. .
We attended The Masters practice round at Augusta and made it a long weekend. This was the perfect location and waking up to the view of the ocean was breathtaking and very relaxing. Close to good restaurants and not yet crowded with the summer crush.
Very convenient location and clean. Kitchen was nice and well stocked. However, the place could use a new mattress and some decluttering of furniture. We barely had any space to put our luggage.
While staying on the Island you can cross the bridge to shopping and entertainment.
