Notes:
For those interested in history, the city of Charleston, with it's many interesting sites, is only one hour drive south. Fort Sumter, site of the first shots fired in the 'War Between the States' (also know as the 'Civil War' to those from North of the "Mason/Dixon" Line) is accessible by tour boat located at Patriot's Point in Mt. Pleasant. This is also the site of the WWII carrier USS Yorktown CV-10 (with the Medal of Honor Museum), the WWII destroyer USS Laffey DD-724 (know as 'The ship that would not die'), the USS Clamagore SS-343 (A 'Cold War' era Guppy II class submarine) and a replica of a Vietnam era fire base. Charleston is the home of 'The Military College of South Carolina, 'The Citadel', which was founded in 1842. The H.L. Hunley, a confederate submarine and the first submersible to sink an enemy vessel, is located in North Charleston.

Very clean, nice amenities and caring owners

  • 5 of 5

The owners of the rental go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The property and grounds are well maintained and it's a beautiful setting away from the commercialized tourist locations. Low stress and peaceful. Our entire family enjoyed the pools, biking, exploring and visiting the Pawleys Island beach club. Thank you, Barry and Carol for your hospitality and sharing your home with us!

Great Family Get Away!!

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place to stay. The homeowner was very hospitable & ensured we had everything we needed. The private beach house to use at Pawleys was a great benefit. My daughter & I enjoyed the beach while my son & husband kayaked in the inlet. The location of the condo near historic Georgetown was perfect for shopping & eating. Would also recommend The Marina Grill inside the Belle Isle resort! Fabulous sweet potato fries. Thanks again for a great trip! Highly recommend the condo & hope to return in the future.

Wonderful time !!!!

  • 5 of 5

Barry and Carol were GREAT hosts! There were five of us and we all had a great time in a very comfortable unit and setting. The beach, private parking and beach house at Pawley's Island was a fantastic benefit to staying at Belle Isle Villas. Barry is second to none when it comes to making sure that his guests are comfortable and have everything they need. Thank you, Barry.

We will plan to return to this wonderful place.

This was our first visit to the Belle Isle Villas. We couldn't have been more pleased. Barry & Carol think of everything, all you need to bring is yourself and personal items. The condo is very roomy, clean and updated. In a quiet neighborhood, 2 pools and a wonderful beach house on Pawley's Island for convenient beach access. We plan to do this again.
