Also on the island are the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum, several seafood restaurants, gift shops, a small grocery store, and bait and tackle shops. Excellent accommodations, great, convenient location

  • 5 of 5

Our rental was very clean, had all the amenities we needed, plenty of kitchen gadgets for cooking, and plenty of room for relaxing after long days on the water.

Communications with the owner were also very easy, and the owner was very helpful and accommodating to us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and are already looking forward to next year, hopefully we'll be able to stay longer next time!

Great Home & Beautiful Location

  • 4 of 5

The house was perfect for our weekend getaway. Absolutely loved the island and the convenience to Beaufort and Morehead City! The only issue was when we arrived, there were no linens for the master bedroom downstairs and the house hadn't been cleaned. Thankfully, it wasn't messy. I contacted the owner and within a few hours our linens were delivered. However, the house wasn't cleaned until the next day. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Harker's Island Vacation. A great Community

  • 5 of 5

We fell in love with this community "Down East". This house is a great place to take a family, offers all the comforts of home, very clean. We loved the back patio for morning coffee and breakfast and the front pouch for sitting and viewing the constellations, and the view of the sound across the road is breath taking. My husband and I stayed with our two small dogs. Don't forget the insect repellant, bactine for insect bites and your water shoes for the visiting the Wild Horses on Shackleford Island. This area is close to other beaches, for example Atlantic Beach and the quaint town of Beaufort. We really enjoyed the National Park System of Point Lookout and Fort Macon. Laura, the owner is always just a text away if you have any questions or concerns. Believe it or not, I choose this house because it provided the linens and I was allowed to bring my pups! This vacation was a dream and was too short. Hope you enjoy it like we did. Don't forget to enjoy the fresh caught seafood of the Island. 🐚?🐬?🌊?🏝?🏖? Don't forget the Sunscreen!
