While I was living in The Cottage (VRBO 384587) I noticed The Victorian three blocks away was in foreclosure. I love old houses! After seeing the monumental overhaul it needed, saying a few prayers, and talking to family and friends, I bought it...and was instantly overwhelmed! First project: Put in a huge deck in back--the beautiful views kept me inspired during the long rehab. And now it's all finished and worth every bit of the TLC it required. Hopefully it blesses my guests as well!

Beautiful, Clean, Spacious and convenient for visiting Creation Museum and Ark Encounter
Would love to return to the Victorian for our next visit to Kentucky. It was entertaining watching the barges going down the Ohio River. Appreciated Wanda’s help as our schedule needed readjusted a couple times prior to our visit.
A ladies group from our church spent two nights here this weekend and we were very pleased with this home. It was very comfortable with everything that we needed for our stay. It had a beautiful view of the river and was so close to the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. Thank you for a lovely retreat!
Great vacation house for large families!
This was the perfect vacation home for our group and a convenient location to visit the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. With the ability to sleep so many along with 2 kitchens and 3 bathrooms, we had the ability to spread out when we needed to and be together when we wanted. Our 3 families included 6 adults and 9 children ranging in ages from 12 mos to 17 years and we were quite comfortable. The owner provided a playyard for our little one to sleep in and there is a booster seat available in each kitchen. We made dinner in the home each night of our stay and found the kitchen to be well stocked for meal preparation. Everyone enjoyed seeing the tugboats push the barges up the river. This is an enjoyable property to vacation at!
This was the perfect accommodation for our school trip to Kentucky - we took 15 teenagers to the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum - the location and amenities were terrific
Reminds me of home.
I grew up in a Victorian style home and this reminded me of my childhood. I loved the house, the layout was very nice and well thought out. We came up for two days to ski at Perfect North and we really enjoyed ourselves. We were far enough away from everything to have a quiet stay and close enough that it didn't take forever to get what we needed. The sleeping arrangement was good. We had 13 people and it fit our needs well. The little area was quiet and we had no problems other than a racoon that got in the garbage and we had to pick that up.
The view was pretty neat. My children loved watching the barges go up and down the river day and night.
The only downside to this house was trying to get the temperature regulated in each room. The bedrooms were very toasty while the kitchen and living area was a little cooler. It is hard to get it regulated when it is 28 degrees outside but in a old house it can be near impossible. So I really don't count this against her. I just wanted to give full disclosure that a older house does have some challenges.
Perfect for our family gathering!
Clean and well stocked! The boys loved watching the river traffic. Would have been even better in warmer weather.
5 miles from the Creation Museum. 16 miles from Perfect North Slopes.
