Peaceful and relaxing

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was a great getaway for the family. Great lake views and right off the water. Kayaks were provided and the lake was perfect. The cabin was 10 minutes to town and far enough away to make you feel miles away! Great communication from the owner. We had a great time and plan on coming back again!

Relaxing and enjoyable

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week with 4 kids between the ages of 2 and 14. Plenty of room for everyone. Large dining room table inside, plus another larger picnic table on the large deck outside. It was great to have use of the paddleboat, kayaks, and canoe, and the water was shallow enough to create a nice swim area around the dock. A stop at Peegeo's (right down the street) for lunch or dinner is highly recommended. Everything was in great condition. The owner is very nice. Looking forward to another trip soon!

A perfect rustic getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had a great family vacation at this cozy, rustic cabin. The pics show it well: nestled in the woods, the entire interior is knotty pine, a nice big deck, fabulous views of the lake (one whole side of the cabin is windows). Stone-lined fire pit outside and a large, handsome fireplace inside. Beautifullly-tiled shower, cute loft third bedroom, small kitchen with everything needed for basic cooking and serving for six. The house and grounds are neat and clean, and it's easy to keep the cabin clean. On sunny days we enjoyed the kayaks, canoe, and paddleboat; on rainy days we enjoyed puzzles, games, and books. Within five minutes there's a really nice local pizza joint; within ten minutes are all the many attractions of Traverse City; with a day trip there's Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, the Leelenau Peninsula, and the Mackinac Bridge. The owner is really nice and communicates quickly and well. We're already looking forward to next summer.

Quiet getaway

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week with our two boys ages 3 and 6. We all had a nice time fishing, canoeing, kayaking. We were not expecting alot since we booked the week before we stayed. When we arrived we were happily surprised to find the cabin rustic and charming....we loved it. It was just what we were looking for. The owners keep this place clean and has had some recent updates. Issues were few and owners responded and we called them. At night we could hear Barred Owls in the trees around the cabin...spooky but really cool! Hope they will have us back next year!!!!

Overall we had an amazing time at this cabin on the lake. Great location from Traverse City, only a 10 min drive. Very quite, private and peaceful. We stayed here with our two kids, 3 & 5 and they loved the bunk beds, the loft and the dock. The lake was great, fun to swim in, fish and owners provided row boats and canoe (no extra fee) as well as firewood. The property is very well maintained and clean. We would definitely stay her again! Thank you!

Beautiful... just beautiful! Will definitely be coming back here!

  • 5 of 5

Some friends and I decided to take a trip up to Traverse City. We wanted to make it more of an outdoorsy style, so when we found this place we knew it would be perfect.

The cabin is surrounded by nature, and having a lake right in front of where we were staying was perfect. The mornings were so peaceful and calm. At night we usually built a fire and had smores. If you bring a bike (we had a few with us), you can ride all the way into Traverse City. Just beware - the ride back is a little bit uphill, so only go if you are an intense biker or can get a car ride back.

Regarding the facility: The cabin is deceptively roomy indoors. The kitchen is small, but gets the job done. We had all utensils that were necessary. The bathroom is in good condition and bedrooms are really nice. I was grateful for the extra towels in the place, as they came in handy. I'm a civil engineer, so naturally I had to take a peek at the water system. I found that a new pump was recently installed, and the rest of the system was in great shape.

All in all, this is a fantastic place, and I had a marvelous experience! I hope we get the opportunity to come back and enjoy this beautiful place once more.
