About the property

2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 5

Sophisticated and sweet on a dead end street. Private yard and access to all the amenities you could want on Cape Cod. Walking distance to the harbor, dozens of restaurants, island ferries, and Cape Cod Central Railroad.

The house has two good sized bedrooms on the second floor and an open concept downstairs with a working fireplace that is perfect for an off-season get-away. During the summer, there is air conditioning throughout the house.

Living areas:

The house has been newly renovated with new plaster/paint, soapstone kitchen, marble bath and gleaming new hardwood floors throughout the house adding warmth and charm. The living room and dining area are newly furnished and all the appliances, washer/dryer are brand new.

Bedrooms:

Both bedrooms have new, and extremely comfortable, mattresses and bedding.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed, two night stands, skylight and a large closet with shelving. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, a large dresser and a twin size trundle that stows under the queen when not in use.

Kitchen:

The kitchen is well appointed, with cookware, cutlery, dinnerware and pantry items. Also included is: toaster, coffee maker/s and a blender.

Bathroom:

A full bathroom is located on the second floor, with the two bedrooms. Towels/face-cloths/hand towels and a hair dryer are provided. There is also a full size ironing board and iron.

Laundry Area:

The laundry area is located in the basement of the house. There is a full sized washer and dryer with a large table for folding. Laundry detergent is provided. Access to the basement is through the backyard.

Electronics:

* Samsung 40' Smart TV in the living room with cable, Pandora and Netflix.

* Bose Wave radio that is blue-tooth ready to stream music from your personal device.

* WiFi is provided with the rental.

Property/yard:

The property is situated at the end of a dead-end street. There are only three other properties on the road, so traffic is virtually non-existent.

The private/fenced backyard has a large deck with a table and chairs and a charcoal grill. There is off street parking that will accommodate two cars.

Other details:

I have purchased a beach pass that is available to guests. It can be used at all six beaches in Barnstable County.

* Check in time - 3pm

* Check out time - 11am

* Summer Rentals are from Saturday through Saturday.

* The $100 cleaning fee is waved for rentals of more than one week.

Just what we needed for a perfect honeymoon

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for part of our honeymoon recently and it was exactly what we needed! The home is just as lovely and clean as the photos posted on the listing. There were plenty of extras such as blankets, pillows, hand soap, dishes, towels, etc. They also provided little extra things that were a wonderful surprise such as a little basket with toothpaste, mouthwash and hand soap. We stayed at a rental home in Boston prior to Cape Cod. The Boston rental didn't provide anything such as an extra roll of tp or any extra blankets, towels I mean nothing, so this home in Hyannis and what they provided for us was more than a breath of fresh air! It is very cozy, quiet and at an all around perfect location. It is tucked away in a little dead end street so it is VERY quiet, but it is still close enough to attractions and things you may need such as a drug store, gas station or grocery store. One of the restaurants the owner recommended to us (The Black Cat Tavern) was hands down the best food and drinks we had since being in Massachusetts! When we had a question about how to work something the owner responded immediately and was very pleasant even when I had sent the text at 9pm not realizing how late it was getting. I would absolutely recommend this place to friends and relatives and in fact have already done so. If we ever go back this is definitely where we will be staying!

Beautiful Cape House!

  • 5 of 5

We could not have asked for a better stay for our first visit to Cape Cod! This house is beautifully redone without loosing any of the historic charm. The house feels much larger than 1,100 square feet and we never felt crowed with two couples. The house is located close to downtown hyannis and the bay area (maybe a 5 minute drive) which was perfect, and multiple beaches within 30 minutes to explore. The house is well stocked with any cooking equipment you would need and even a washer and dryer. Neil was readily available and even provided awesome restaurant recommendations! I would highly recommend staying in this little gem while you are in the cape. Thanks again Neil!

Perfect house to get anywhere on the Cape.

  • 5 of 5

I am from Massachusetts so I frequent the Cape quite often but never usually spend more than day trips down there but decided to spend five days down the cape to get in the last part of summer. This house was perfect for two people but had a second bedroom with another roll away bed under that. Everything on the Cape including Ptown was an hour or less away. Neighborhood was quiet, house had everything you needed for your stay except beach towels. Definitely will inquire about coming back next summer! Thank you again!

A fantastic base.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four stayed for a week during August. As our first trip to the cape from the UK we hoped to find a good comfortable base for exploring. We are regular travellers and sometimes the photos in the advert do not tell the true story, so we were very happy to find a very well maintained house which appears to be recently refurbished to a high standard. Cool ac after the hot hot days was very welcome, and our girls loved the back garden for practising handstands. It really was the perfect week, the house perfect for our needs, and we highly recommend.

Great Spot

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with friends for a week in July. When we first drove onto the street, the neighborhood looked a bit 'sketchy' but it turned out to be a wonderful home on a quiet street. Everything about the home seemed to have been updated very recently and the kitchen included everything we could possibly need. The washer and dryer in the basement was a pleasant surprise and it helped since we had been on the road for several days before arriving there. We enjoyed the deck in the backyard for happy hours and it was shaded by trees so very comfortable. We utilized Uber most evenings for rides to/from dinner and the drivers could easily find the house to pick us up. We would stay at this home again because it did indeed feel like home to us!

Nice Cottage with Modern Upgrades on a Quiet Street

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the property for a week, and it was perfect for my family of 3. The location is good - close to downtown, but in a quiet corner, dead-end street, tucked away from any crowds. We walked to the ferry for a trip to Nantucket (~20 minutes). We used Uber to get back and forth to the Cape Cod Melody Tent - only about a 2 minute wait for a ride (and cost about $10 each way). We drove to the beaches, which was fine because most have ample parking - Craigville was our favorite. When we went downtown, we were able to find parking behind the JFK Museum, but we could have walked as well.

The week we stayed was the last week in July, and it was hot all week - so it was wonderful to come back from the beach to the cool AC. The house was updated recently, with all new appliances in the kitchen, new counters, and a new bathroom. It was very clean. There were towels available, extra beach equipment, and a kitchen with just about everything we needed. We ate many meals in the house (a grill was available out back). We didn't use the washer/dryer in the basement, but it was available to us. The Wi-Fi and TV worked great all week. Most nights, we sat on the back porch.

The bedrooms were cool and cozy - with nice soft beds for a good night's sleep.

Overall, we recommend this vacation house for small families, and will likely return in the future.
