Old Town charm, centrally located. Nice pool to cool off.
Brought family to Key West. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The Atocha Cottage was a big part of it. Within walking distance of most of the attractions, if you were so inclined. Relatively quiet neighborhood. Highly recommended. If we get the chance, we will book the Atocha Cottage again.
Quaint cottage - Close to restaurants, train, etc.
I was concerned about our trip to Key West since it was so soon after Hurricane Irma. We enjoyed our trip down on the Key West Express and was pleasantly surprised at the number of people that joined us. Duval Street was booming and the shop and restaurant owners were definitely glad to see us there. Renting an electric cart was a great way to get around and see a lot of the interesting points of Key West. I would also recommend taking the Conch Train, as they give you a great history of the city.
Our cottage was located within walking distance of Duval Street, many restaurants, drugstore, and The Conch Train or Trolley. The cottage was roomy enough for four adults, the beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well-equipped, porches and pool was a nice addition. The sleeper sofa was very uncomfortable to sit on and I would recommend that it be replaced.
If you would prefer staying in a house or cottage rather than a hotel, I would definitely recommend this property.
Great space! Great location!
Authentic Old Town cottage with good size bedrooms and living room. Great location! We were able to ride bikes to every highlight on the island. The pool is a nice bonus. Would definitely stay here again!
The Historic Hideaway Atocha is a gem! We stayed there for 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. As I read in other reviews - the dishes don't match and the place could use a little sprucing up, it was perfect for us--especially the pool!!! The overall cottage was very comfortable. The beds, central air conditioning and ceiling fans made nights refreshing while the pool made the hot afternoons enjoyable. We would DEFINITELY rent this cottage again.
Thank you for your positive review.
Since the property has three private cottages what is happening with the plates and cups not matching is that families, wedding groups and others must be interchanging the dishware from cottage to cottage.
I just thought a fix would be to get all matching dishware for the whole property. Then it will not matter.
Again happy you enjoyed your stay,
Charming and private
What a wonderful surprise to see our cottage when we arrived! It is charming and decorated with the island feel!!! The cottage has central air, and still has the original wood floors which are beautiful. It is surrounded by wonderful greenery that adds to the feeling of privacy. The cottage was very clean and had all the necessities such as towels etc.
I hope to stay there again!!!!
Thank you to the owners and the caretakers for such a great place to stay!!!!
Cute small cabin
The location is perfect and well within walking distance to Duval Street. Interior is descent but dated and older but functional. Everything they said would be provided was. Pool was mediocre and dirty during are entire time there and by the day we left was making an awful noise because the water was to low. Not enough lounge chairs if all three cabins on the property decided to go to the pool at the same time. Also they have a cat there that is cute but they have food on the rear porch, the morning we were leaving, very early and there were two raccoons just terrorizing the back porch and not fun in the dark walking luggage out to car. Floor in house was dirty as we like to go barefoot and within an hour the bottom of our feet we're black. So it's not bad but I wouldn't stay there again.
This property is located in the Historic District. It is close to all the attractions, restaurants, live theater and museums. Stay in an 'Conch Style Home' and experience Key West Living!
