This gorgeous three bedroom, two bath mid-century modern home, featured in the March 2014 W Magazine, was designed by Donald Wexler in 1960, and artfully renovated in 2010. The residence includes a private swimming pool, hot tub, sunken fire pit and outdoor BBQ. Indoors, guests enjoy the air conditioned living room, dining room and kitchen complete with cable TV, Internet, WiFi, and full size washer and dryer. Kitchen comes stocked with plates, glasses, silverware, knives, cooking utensils, pots, pan, coffee maker, toaster, mixer, blender, and more. Home includes linens, pillows, and bath and pool towels for guest enjoyment.

The home is minutes from downtown Palm Springs restaurants and shopping, including Jake's, Cheeky's, Tropicale, El Jefe, Tinto, Workshop and more.

More About the Home and Neighborhood:

The residence is located in Palm Springs' El Rancho Vista Estates, the first of the Wexler & Harrison residential subdivisions. Developer Roy Fey, a former Chicago accountant who came to the desert and developed a small real estate empire, built it. He saw the potential Southern California Modernist architecture had in the emerging post-war housing market. His belief in the product led him to use the street name “East Avenida Fey Norte” to memorialize his involvement in the development – a not uncommon practice among residential developers.

The development is a collection of approximately 75 single-family homes located northeast of the Palm Springs International Airport, accessed via Vista Chino. Please note that this property is subject to street noise.

AGE: You must be over 25 years old to book this property. ID of responsible party is required at check-in.

OCCUPANCY: Maximum number of overnight guests limited to 2 adults per bedroom + 2 additional children under the age of 12. A list of all overnight guests will be required.

PARKING: Only 1 car per bedroom is allowed at property, including street parking. License plate numbers for each vehicle will be required at check-in.

NOISE: Be mindful of your neighbors- limit noise at all times during your stay to respectful levels. Outdoor music is not permitted at any level at anytime. Strict City penalties are imposed for any noise that can be heard from the property line. ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES OR EVENTS.

**Violation of the City ordinance can result in fines upwards of $500, and may result in immediate eviction from property without refund.

Great house-FANTASTIC POOL! To noisy:-(

The house was totally stocked regarding kitchen, bedding, bath and pool towels, pool floaties, chaise chairs, and furnishings inside were awesome. Pool was heated on arrival and was perfect and private. Beds were amazing!

The main issue was the noise level. The home is on Hwy 111 and PSP International Airport. The bus stop is in the back yard on the corner of the lot. There is constant noise every day. It would be better if you could play your own music outside ( against noise ordinance; a bit ironic) OR perfect if you could lift the entire pool and house and set it in a quiet neighborhood!! :-)))

OrangPalm staff and pool caretakers were so friendly and helpful.

If noise doesn’t bother you then I would highly recommend this home to rent...

Great house! Cool decor! Everything you need is included!

My friends & I rented this house for a girlfriend’s getaway. It looked just like the photos, and everything we could possibly need - from towels to dishes to directions on how to work the spa - was readily available. It’s a great property!

DON’T. JUST DON’T.

Honestly don’t know where to start. Not used to writing monster reviews, I’m usually pretty easy to please. I guess I’ll go chronologically. The check in process was a total nightmare. We were arriving to Palm Springs late at night and had notified the company about this and were instructed to call a phone number 30 minutes before arrival. We do— turns out it’s a messaging service, so we leave a message telling them we’ll be arriving in a half hour. When we get to the office— yes we had to go to the rental office not the home we rented at 11:30 at night— NO ONE IS THERE. We call again, leave another message. Call their emergency line which is ALSO a messaging service and leave a message. Literally it’s impossible to reach a human person. So we end up waiting in a sketchy strip mall parking lot for 40 minutes, well past midnight, not even KNOWING if anyone is on their way because we can’t get a human on the phone. During the interim my friend googles Oranj Palm — they have a ton of one star reviews and claims of iffy practices. (Apparently they don’t return deposits). We’re on the verge of giving up and just going to a hotel when a guy shows up. He offers no apology and acts like we’re the ones inconveniencing him. He hands us the keys and some papers and we finally get to the house an hour past when they were first supposed to meet us, close to 1am. We’re exhausted. The house is fine— nicely appointed— but almost everything is rigged for maximum profit. The second we walk in an alarm starts going off. Again, it’s 1am. The guy who checked us in failed to mention there would be an alarm. So we’re running around the house we just walked into trying to find the alarm box. Turns out it’s behind the master bedroom door— who knew! The alarm company calls and we have to explain the situation to them and then we realize why the man who checked us in failed to tell us about the alarm— Oranj Palm charges $100 if the police are dispatched. There are 1,000 more examples like this. We were so sketched out by the company we all slept with our doors open the whole time. Also worth noting: the water pressure in both showers was dismal and the hot tub didn’t heat up. It would start to and then automatically shut off at a certain point. And in order to talk to someone about it we had to of course call and leave a message... it was all just... insane. Learn from our mistake and STAY AWAY.

Great House!

I booked this super last minute and didn't see a single review, saw that it was on a busy road and backed up to the airport so I was really worried about what we would find. All the worry was for nothing- house looks the same as the photos. House was great, fully stocked, comfortable, completely fenced in, and when in the back yard pool area you don't have road noise but see an occasional plane take off. We had an issue with the pool and put in a service call and it was resolved in a few hours. House is in a great location- close to everything. We would definately return.
