Historic Condo With Two Bedrooms, Pool within Walking Distance to Forsyth Park and all of Historic Downtown Savannah! If you are looking for a place in Savannah with a pool to cool off during the Savannah Summer, this is one of the only ones. Please also see vrbo# 420192 if you need another unit in the same complex to accommodate additional family or friends. This condo has something for everyone, historic charm galore as the unit features original woodwork including mantles and crown molding throughout. Original heart of pine floors in the main living and bedroom and travertine tile in the remainder of rooms. The property was recently renovated to include all modern upgrades of granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and a large bathroom with jetted tub. Furnishings are tasteful and everything needed for your stay can be found in the unit. The kitchen is fully furnished and has all necessary appliances to cook and meal. There is a gas and charcoal grill at the property. There is on and off street parking dedicated for the property or you can walk to all areas of the historic district and River Street. Off-street parking is also a rarity in Savannah. World famous Forsyth Park is only a few blocks away and is just as gorgeous as the pictures you see advertised, there usually a concert of festival in the park on weekends.

There are multiple restaurants including the Mansion on Forsyth and 700 Drayton within a couple blocks. The Kroger Grocery Store is one block away and there is also an organic food store, coffee shop and liquor store nearby. What else could you really need?

Some details on the house; it was built in 1893 for James Leonard of Savannah and has many of the original details intact. It is listed with the Historic Savannah Foundation. During the renovation historic artifacts dating to the Civil War were located in the area.

Hi Brant,

I have finally got caught up enough here at home and work to send you an email to say THANK YOU! We loved Savannah and your condo. You have a very nice neighbor also. I can't remember her name but she lives there full time? It took us a few days to really get our adventure game on and get out there, but once we did.....HOLY COW there is cool stuff all over that area! We took a history/ghost tour one night with a guide named Rhet, and it was so interesting that our 12 year old ate it up. The parts of the Historic district that we were afraid to walk at night were not so scary after all. Of course it wasn't spooks that we were afraid to run into but our fellow man who can be evil. Instead,we ran into many nice and helpful strangers. My husband and I have only met that many out going, up front nice folks in one other place and that's Gettysburg PA.

We found it best to get out and about early in the morning and come back to your place around lunch time to avoid the hottest parts of the day. The pool was great at that time of the day and then we could enjoy deciding which restaurant to try for dinner. I have to say The Pirate House was our favorite, but we ran out of nights to try them all, maybe next time. =)

All in all we loved it and would have loved staying longer. The high ceilings and the nook/room before the pool were my favorite things about the place. Perfect spot for morning coffee. Plus the neighbor told us that when you/workmen, were underneath your place you found a bayonet from the revolutionary war (she thought). That is amazing and my imagination went nuts with that thought. We did laugh a bit at the hearse tours that drove by now and again. The poor people in them looked kinda sea sick. We also watched your movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. We had actually never seen that before and of course after we watched it I had to google the history of it.

Anyway, we may come back to Savannah someday (I hope), and it will be you we call. Thanks again for letting us use your place.

My friends and I stayed here for a few days and the condo was perfect for us. It was very clean and accommodating. The pool was clean and refreshing. The bonus was Julia who lives

on the property... she was very helpful in giving us ideas on things to do. We enjoyed hanging by the pool with her and sharing stories.. Would definitely stay here again..

Relaxing and comfortable

The house was comfortable, accessible, and relaxing. The neighbors and other renters were very nice. One of the local residents helped us and gave us some great pointers for our visit. The only thing that was not great was the pull out couch. It was not that comfortable. It is actually more comfortable to just sleep on it not pulled out. Most of the remotes for the tv did not have batteries. But overall it was an amazing weekend.

Just be careful if you have a car and are street parked on Wednesday nights- park on other side of street.

Very nice place neighbors were great easy walk to Kroger for groceries as well.

Easy to get an Uber from here to go downtown approx. $4 easy to get groceries. Talk to Julie the neighbor about things to do great advice for local establishments.
