Roomy 3-story historic home in the heart of Soulard with vintage charm and a relaxed vibe. With space for 6 to spread out, but conducive to hanging and playing games or chilling out to some vinyl tunes. Any way you slice it, it's a cozy hip spot. You'll be within walking distance to bars, restaurants, cafes, the famous Soulard Farmer's Market and Anheuser Busch Brewery. It's also convenient to Busch Stadium and downtown.
Private historic home 1200 sq. ft. on 3 levels. 1st floor features a large eat-in kitchen complete with a gas stove, oven, and full size refrigerator. Modern amenities include a dishwasher, microwave, and washer & dryer. There is a powder room on the first floor. Also on the 1st floor is the main living room with record player. 2nd floor includes the larger north-facing bedroom with queen bed and a walk-out covered porch, a more snug second bedroom with a walk-in closet and full bath with tub and shower. Bathroom comes stocked with soap & shampoo, hair dryer, and a supply of clean towels. Upstairs (3rd floor attic space) bedroom has plenty of closet space, vaulted ceiling with a dormer to the front with a view of the Gateway Arch and a southern facing dormer view of the glowing Anheuser Busch Budweiser sign. Everything is provided for a comfortable stay. Additionally: - Free Wifi - On-street parking is easily available in front of home and free - During baseball and football games, most of the local bars have free shuttles to the games - No parties, No pets, No smoking - NO exceptions **Children are welcome, however, the home is NOT childproofed. We also don't have specific accommodations for children (i.e. pack n play, baby gates, high chair), so bring anything you need. **please note check-in and check-out times** If you need to arrive earlier or stay later, please check with me in advance. We will accommodate when possible but due to our cleaning schedule we have limited flexibility.
Guests have full access to the home and outdoor courtyard which has a newly constructed cedar live edge rough-sawn pergola, divided by a short iron fence from the neighboring home on the same lot, also available on airbnb and accommodates 2 adults. The property is fenced with gates; 1 to the alley and 1 to the street, which should both be kept shut and locked whenever possible.
While we are available if you need us, we will generally have minimal contact during your stay.
Soulard is a thriving, lively, historic neighborhood just south of downtown where you'll find great, laid-back bars with live music and plenty of tree-lined streets with brick-paved sidewalks. Beautiful architecture and spectacular people. Easily one of the best neighborhoods in STL.
