About the Property
4 Bed/4 Bath Property, featuring Main House, Guest House, and private pool.
Our gated property begins with a prominent cast iron main gate which opens to a beautiful flower lined driveway leading to the property. Once on the property, the main house and guest house are set within native landscaping, featuring banana trees, mango trees, and palms. Centered between the two house is a beautiful pool with all new stucco and a brand new deck and privacy fence added January 1, 2016. Depending on the season you may just see the howler monkeys cross right over our roof tops!

Heather and I first traveled to Tamarindo on our honeymoon, in July 2012. After visiting Tamarindo we fell in love with the town and the people and purchased the home we honeymooned in to be able to share the experience with others. We have since stayed at Casa Aigua more than 10 times, visiting at minimum twice a year, and have continued the renovation begun by the previous owners. It is our goal for anyone that stays at our place to realize the beauty of Costa Rica and have as wonderful of an experience as we always do.
Our property is quite spacious and will more than adequately house 12 guests. We have an on-site property manager, Charlie, who lives in the upper apartment of the guest house and is there to maintain the property and to better assist you on your visit. Charlie is a Captain on a fishing boat in Tamarindo, and so at times he may be working during the day but we can always assist you if you have questions. Guests are encouraged to have Charlie arrange their tours, ask questions, and even cook a gourmet meal if they are so inclined. Charlie will never hinder your vacation, but is there as a tremendous asset who knows everybody in Tamarindo and can set you up with whatever adventure you seek. Heather and I are very grateful that Charlie is there on all of our visits.
Lastly, please know that we truly do hope that each and every guest that stays with us enjoy their visit. While we are new to VRBO we have already had several guests which have had an incredible time staying at Casa Aigua . The property is beautiful and well maintained. It is also centrally located and is only a 5 minute walk to the beach or to the city center. If you choose to stay with us, we can arrange for transportation for Liberia airport directly to our front door and will promise to deliver an experience that will make you return year after year.

Our property is perfect for a family vacation, group of friends traveling, or a honeymoon just as we first visited. It goes without saying if you are visiting Costa Rica you should experience several adventures, and Charlie will be there to ensure your adventures are top notch.
Update Dec 2016: We hope you have found the updated information above helpful. We have now owned and rented our property for the last 3 years. We have had some amazing experiences as owners, and some experiences that we have learned from. Casa Aigua is truly our home, and we hope that all guests understand we do the absolute best to continue to improve our property to enhance your experience. We continually bring new towels, linens, and housewares to keep our property up-to-date. Additionally, for the 2016 season, we added a brand new deck and privacy fence, a new outdoor wood burning grill, fresh paint, and all new stucco around the pool and grounds. These additions are in addition to previous upgrades: solar hot water heater in the main house, new couches in the main house, all new teak lounge chairs (built by Charlie), and new king bed in an apartment, new window coverings, all new tvs, upgraded internet service, and a new washer and dryer. On top of all of that, we recently added a beautiful custom built table suitable for 8-12, new sleeper-sofa covers for both apartments have been created to match the new couches in the main house, and an increased water capacity for the property for the dry season has been added. We only mention these items to demonstrate our commitment to your experience.

Tamarindo is a quaint surfing town that as all of the amenities at traveler could look for. Our on-site property manager, Charlie, can assist you with any adventure you seek. Heather and I have explored the local estuaries, watch large sea turtles nest, surfed, and explored several local beaches. Ask us anything and we would be happy to help!

About the owner: We first visited Tamarino and Casa Aigua on our delayed honeymoon in July 2012. We fell so much in love with the property, the beaches, the town, and the people that we purchased the place from our friends in October.
Why the Owner Chose Tamarindo, Costa Rica:
I may be bias but this property is absolutely amazing. The family before us completely renovated the property, adding a master bedroom and on-suite bathroom in the main house. The entire property is beautifully maintained, and the location is perfect. We have traveled to Tamarindo more than 10 times since we purchased in 2012, visiting a minimum of 2x per year. We have only rented a car 1 time as a result of flying into San Jose. There is really no need for a car with our location unless you appreciate the convenience factor a car provides. We had our first child in June 2013, and brought him down for the first time when he was only 10 weeks old. We hope to move to Tamarindo in a couple years and to continue renting our property with a more hands on approach. So anyone who stays is truly staying in our home away from home.
