Newly updated home located north of Hendersonville in desirable Druid Hills neighborhood. Great location for those coming to explore both Hendersonville and Asheville. About 15 minutes to the Asheville Airport. This 1200 sq ft house is roomy and spacious for a family or a couple of couples traveling together. I do not recommend this house for toddlers or small children, too many sharp corners, rugs to trip on, steps to fall down on. We do love animals, so yes, well behaved dogs are welcomed! After all they're family aren't they? There is a small fenced yard in the back of the house for an easy 'let out ' before enjoying a neighborhood walk or one of the numerous dog parks in the area.
The house built back in the 60's still has that cottage feel to it. Hard wood floors located throughout and an updated gramma kitchen makes this house just plain fun to hang out in. The only thing missing is a dish washer. It has both a front and back porch- the back overlooks a beautifully landscaped hill while the front covered porch allows you to hang out and watch walkers walking by. Your actually located in the city limits but you would never know it! Very quiet with woods located on one side. The neighborhood is very diverse and safe.
House is well equipped so you need not worry about bringing things like coffee filters, soap (hand and dish), paper towels and toilet paper. I have also included a full spice rack and standard vegetable oil for cooking. I always found having to supply these items a PIA when I stay at other VRBO's. Washer and dryer facilities are available in the basement. If you have things like bikes, golf clubs or kayaks there is a place to store them as well down there. Separate downstairs entrance makes it easy! We like easy!
Yes, of course, free wifi. How could we function without it! There is a nice 43" television in the living room connected with Apple TV to the wifi. I have a local provider which supplies all the basic TV (10 stations, including: ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox +) As well as Netflix. There is a DVD player and a draw full of DVD's. Less than 1/4 mile down the road is our local grocery chain 'Ingles'. The house is about 7 or 8 blocks to the downtown area . Once your out of the neighborhood there are sidewalks the whole way. There are many restaurants and shopping opportunities as well. I've included a few games, puzzles, cards, brochures for things to do around the area, as well as restaurant information. The great thing about coming to this area is there is a ton of stuff to do! Breweries, putt-putt, music ventures, shopping, wineries, The Biltmore Estates, The Nature Center, art, NC Arboretum, golf, kayak, biking, horse back riding, white water kayaking, The Parkway, hiking, waterfalls, theater, nature, festivals, casinos, springs, museums - you name it, we've got it! Once your here if you don't feel like driving yourself- I have a close connection to an Uber driver! You'll get his direct number!
A couple of things you should know-
- I have a 2 day minimum stay.
- I charge a large security deposit (dogs and people can do a lot of damage).
- I inspect the premise before you leave
- I talk or email to everyone that rents from me
Who are you, why are you coming here and what are your ages?
Tell me about your dog(s)? Age? Activity level? Escape dog?
- There is a $50 cleaning fee attached to every stay regardless of length. That's to make sure standards are met.
I like to encourage longer term tenets- you will find I have a nice discount for those staying a week and an even better discount for those staying a month or longer.
I do offer close friends and family a 20% discount off of the nightly rate. For not so close friends and associates 10% . For those that have stayed with me before and received a 5 star rating from me, I appreciate the business and offer you a 10% discount on any future bookings.
