We Don't Want to Leave!

Very spacious and comfortable. Gorgeous setting with lake view and access to lake.

The owner makes every effort to make sure that you are happy and is availabe at all times to answer questions and help, if needed. Very well maintained property.

We enjoyed it so much that we cooked in and cancelled our dinner reservations.

Highly recommend.

Wonderful house & property for family vacation with a lake activities for all ages!

  • 5 of 5

My brothers and our families traveled from Southeastern Pennsylvania (easy drive up 476 & 81) to stay at this Cayuga Lake home to celebrate our mother's 85th birthday with her two sisters (90 & 93) and brother (101!) who live close by in the Central NY area. The lakefront offered lots of fun activities (canoe on-site), with the dock accommodating our 18' Sea Ray (boat ramp & trailer storage at Taughannock Park marina). The location was fantastic - isolated and quiet, but close enough to Ithaca and Taughannock Falls State Park for tours and outings (either by car or boat) plus shopping and errands. We caught a lot of fish, too, and mostly from the dock. My 10-year-old nephew had a lot of fun playing along the shore and swimming in the lake with his dog while us older "boys" did a bit of wake boarding and water skiing. We enjoyed and fully utilized the chef's kitchen and outdoor grill to cook-up quite a few hearty meals to keep everyone energized throughout the day, enjoying food & drink plus the wonderful views from the various decks. The hot tub had strong jets and was just the right size to relax in before a good nights slumber in the very comfortable tempur-pedic beds. All-in-all a superb experience for us all.

Thanks Elissa & Mark!

Beautiful lake property

  • 4 of 5

My family spent 3 days at this beautiful house on Cayuga Lake! Overall the property was lovely and very peaceful. Our evenings were spent cooking in the modern kitchen with updated appliances and drinking wine we purchased from the various wineries we visited. The view from the deck is spectacular! I can only imagine how beautiful it would be in the fall!! The hot tub was a nice amenity but could only accommodate 4-6 people comfortably. My only negative with this house would be one of the upstairs bathroom could use an update and water pressure was not alway strong. I would highly recommend this property!!!

Don't tell anyone

  • 5 of 5

There is this picturesque oval shaped cameo view of the lake framed by tree leaves that you gaze out upon as you sip refreshments from the real wood Adirondack chairs on the deck. We think that each day the owner would arrange for something beautiful to be put in that space to delight us, like a tall white sail boat which sat there most of the afternoon, in the middle of the frame, still and serene, as if someone had painted it onto the lake. The next day a giant multi colored hot air balloon drifted down over the lake and came zooming low right across, directly at us, filling up the whole view before rising up over our heads, close enough to shout up to the passengers. It was almost as if someone had planned to entertain us every day with something remarkable. The sculling teams row past every morning. The neighbors launched a few sky rockets over our heads in celebration of our vacation. After a storm, the stream next to the house turned into an awesome roaring cascade. It was framed purposefully by a special Zen view window, placed strategically on axis, from the kitchen table.

And . . Oh Yeah! The Kitchen! What a great place to cook and hang out: clean black stone countertops; major appliances; and plenty of dishes, vessels and utensils. It was a joy to cook and easy to keep clean.

This house has such well proportioned and soothing architectural space. It has a nice balance of natural materials. It is open and airy; clean and bright; simple and cheery. It has beautiful views all around. even in the back.

Every day we would swim , or kayak, or lounge around on the dock. The water was warm and the shoreline was interesting to explore.

When a group of eight of us planned our trip here, our intention was to tour around the area, but this place was so comfortable and so idyllic that we could hardly ever leave it. It is one of those exceptional spaces, on planet earth, that will bring you nothing but pleasant happiness and natural comfort. You will feel at peace the entire length of your stay. It is truly a retreat.

Please don't tell anyone about this house. Its only for special people. We don't want it to become too popular.
