Suttons Bay Multi-Family Vacation Home with Indoor Pool -13 person Max Occupancy

Bedrooms 5
Half Baths1
Property type house

About the property

Large House - great Location! 5 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, Hot Tub, Sauna -big kitchen

Location, Location, Location! A 1913 Victorian 5 bedroom beauty with swimming pool wing in the Heart of the Village of Suttons Bay.

SBVH sleeps 13 persons comfortably in 5 bedrooms (no sleeper sofas). SBVH accomodates 2-3 families well. The 13 person occupancy is firm (Suttons Bay Village has a Vacation Rental ordinance & our 13 person Max Capacity number keeps us in good standing of this ordinance).

SBVH is located on the beautiful Leelanau County Peninsula with 25 Wineries and several new breweries. Nearby Traverse City, Leland, Northport, Omena, Glen Arbor, Elk Rapids, and Torch Lake are all but a short drive away. The home is within easy walking distance (two blocks or less) to all amenities including restaurants, shops, movie theater, beaches, and marinas.

This special home not only has an updated kitchen, but also a large indoor pool with hot tub and sauna. It is beautifully furnished with five bedrooms, two and a half baths, a living room, dining room, parlor, and den with 40 inch HDTV. During the summer, you can enjoy the swing on the big wrap-around porch. A block away is the charming town of Suttons Bay. This is the town with red British phone booths scattered throughout.

Fabulous restaurants as well as antique and gourmet stores await your visit in town. The beach is one block behind the town of Suttons Bay. This beach features beautiful sand, an awesome children’s playground next to a state park marina where boat slips are available for rent.

During the winter, the streets are always plowed and it is a cozy place to enjoy the snowfall and a great place to come home to after skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, hunting, or fishing. The house features the ideal location. Less than a block away are public tennis courts, basketball courts, and a commons area where the town creates a community skating rink in the winter.

Last - for those considering a reservation with a group that is greater than the 13 person stated capacity - please note that the caretakers do live nearby and would report a violation of the rental agreement stated capacity. We are only interested in reservations in keeping with the stated 13 person occupancy. We would not be interested in a reservation that would put us in violation of the our rental ordinance.

Why - website for cottage w/more rates and details chose Suttons Bay

We saw this beautiful victorian home with a for sale sign back in 2004. Read the real estate flyer that said this home had an indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna and became intrigued. We had a feeling that vacationers would have an interest in staying in this conveniently located house with these unique amenities. Thankfully this has proven true and then some! We have been more than blessed with repeat renters and an endless number of vacationers that love the Leelanau Peninsula and Suttons Bay as much as we do. Suttons Bay Village House is the unique vacation rental that attracts visitors 12 months out of the year.

What makes this house unique

Our family calls the Leelanau Peninsula 'the Bermuda Triangle of good weather.' Cloudy skies never seem to last long but in the event the weather is ever less than ideal, the vacation never stops with your own private swimming pool, hot tub, and sauna!

Weekend or weekly stays go by quickly. There is so much to see and do in the area that the challenge becomes choosing between many good options. Leelanau County is one of the most beautiful parts of Michigan with rolling hills with cherry trees, wineries galore (25), waterfront vistas, and a tart trail that goes all the way to Traverse City. An outdoor enthusiast can hike or bike the 15 mile long paved trail (bicycles for rent), paddle board across the bay, or go on fishing charter. During the winter season, snow tubing (no equipment needed), ice skating, or skiing are all area attractions. Enjoy the snowfall while you sit by the fire or better yet - sit in the hot tub or sauna or swim while the kids swim in their own private pool

Great place for a family reunion

  • 5 of 5

Since 3 family members already live in the Leelanau Peninsula, we have used the Suttons Bay Village House for our family reunion there in July for the past 3 years. The location is wonderful, with easy access to all that Suttons Bay has to offer. The Village House is well-maintained and well-equipped and has great space for our various activities; all love the swimming pool. We highly recommend this vacation home!

Great house

  • 5 of 5

We have been coming here for 3 years now. This is an awesome rental with everything you need. But, unfortunately the owners are VERY slow to respond, every year we wait at least 2-3 mo. before we get a confirmation! This year we planned our same trip, never got a response (as usual) but we weren't worried because this is the norm for this rental, and it was "available" on the website. Therefore we didn't make other plans, now (2 mo. after our initial request) we just found out it is already taken. Very upset and disappointed the owners can't respond sooner or at least keep up the availability calendar.

It could not have been any more perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Everything - and I mean EVERYTHING - was perfect. The home and its surroundings offered everything we could have hoped for. First off, I was a little nervous about the pool because I have a toddler. Immediately, I saw that not only was there a lock, but also an out-of-reach electronic lock with an alarm that could be activated to add another layer of protection and peace of mind. My son and his cousins could not have enjoyed the pool and hot tub any more - and the same goes for us adults with the sauna! The kitchen really is FULLY stocked. We cooked an entire thanksgiving meal with no problem! Having a bunk room for the kids was PERFECT because they could all room together and play with the games and toys that were stocked there. Every bedroom was well appointed and comfortable, the common areas were incredibly inviting, and the house was spotless. Many people visit Suttons Bay in the summer, but I have to say I think the winter is even better. With a fresh layer of snow, the town felt magical and the charm overflowed. We enjoyed a local little shopping, some food, and eased into some quiet relaxation. And a nice warm pool, hot tub, and sauna after a snowy stroll? Divine! Thank you for the best home away stay we've EVER had!

Taste of the Season Wine Weekend

  • 5 of 5

What a great weekend! The house was more than we had expected for our group consisting of five couples. The kitchen was nicely stocked with all the utensils needed for our three night stay. The indoor pool , hot tub and sauna were a wonderful end to a day of site seeing and wine tasting. We ate in all three nights but there are plenty of restaurants within a 5 minute stroll if you do not feel like cooking. If shopping is what you enjoy, the quaint little shops, with unique one of a kind gifts, will be right up your alley. We had a wonderful and relaxing break from reality and plan on going back next year.

Beautiful Victorian home in the center of town

  • 5 of 5

My family, friends and I enjoyed a tremendous fall getaway weekend at this wonderful home. The home's location was perfect. Being a block away from the main street, made it convenient to walk to the many restaurants and stores. Plus it was a short drive to the surrounding towns and attractions. Leland(Fishtown) is a must see. Along with of course Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. The Leelanau Sands Casino was a short 10 minutes drive up the road. After a day of scenic drives taking in the fall colors, it was so relaxing to enjoy the pool, hot tub and sauna. The owners were great to work with. Plus the caretaker had stopped by to chat and drop off a new coffee maker. Even though the home had two. We'll definitely rent this home again.

Great Place

  • 5 of 5

We rented this home for a family get away. We enjoyed it so very much. The Pool and Hot tub not to mention the sauna were wonderful. We had six kids and they all had their own bed along with three sets of adults who also were able to have their own room. We have rented Vacation homes before but I must say we had the BEST time in this home. Everyone wants to go back... we did not want to leave.
