Chaillot Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 2 Elegant Haussmanian Bldg

Imagine walking out of your apartment building and seeing “La Grande Dame en Fer” (the Eiffel Tower) directly in front of you…grand and dominating during the day, and sparkling at night. “Le Baccarat” is nestled on a quiet side-street 1 block equidistant from the famous Baccarat museum with its elegant Philippe Starck restaurant and the renowned Asian Guimét museum. This large elegant studio is located on the ground level on a private courtyard in a beautifully maintained Haussmanian building. The apartment was completely gutted in 2013 and rebuilt to top standards. “Le Baccarat” boasts every modern and top of the line convenience with state of the art technology. The apartment has 3 ½ meter ceilings and 2 sets of large double French doors that open onto the courtyard. The fully equipped kitchen fulfills any need from a simple breakfast to multi-course dinners at home. The modern, “American” style bathroom features a suspended WC, large walk-in shower and towel heater. There is ample storage space with 3 large armoires, a deep closet and a slightly elevated bed under which most luggage can be stowed. The large “smart” TV can be used for 3D movies (glasses in desk), or for internet use. Fiber-optic WiFi is provided along with free land line calls to anywhere in Europe and the U.S.

The location is ideal: ½ block off rue Kléber, “Le Baccarat” is midway between the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysées and Le Trocadéro (each an easy 5 min walk), which houses the Palais de Tokyo, Musée de l’Homme and overlooks the Eiffel Tower. The area is vibrant during the day and active in the early evening with many bistros and restaurants just minutes away; yet with few real bars, noise is kept to a minimum.

Within a 2 block radius there are more than 30 bistros, cafés and restaurants, ranging from informal to elegant dining. There are numerous patisseries for your morning baguette, a Pharmacy (30 yards), dry cleaner, 2 large grocery stores, Tabac for coffee, sundries and papers, and several florists. You are 5 minutes from the heart of shopping on the Champs Elysées and 30 different movie theaters. Twice a week (Tuesday & Saturday morning) there is the beautiful open-air market 2 blocks away on Place Ièna.

About Marilyne Tron

As the daughter of french parents, I spent my life growing up both in the U.S. and France...so I have spent my life loving both. I have always loved Paris, but even when living there never owned an apartment. My dream was to own an apartment and to let others enjoy it as much as I do. As I know the city very well, I spent years looking for an apartment that matched the location, accessibility and neighborhood I was looking for. When I saw this one, though I knew I needed to do a lot of work (it was completely gutted), I knew it was 'the one'. I hope guests who stay here will enjoy it as much as we do.

Marilyne Tron purchased this apartment in 2012

Why Marilyne Tron chose Paris Arr. 16 (Bois de Boulogne, Trocadero)

In an elegant 18th C Haussmanian building, the apartment is ideally situated. It is within 5 min walking to the Champs Elysées, the Arch of Triumph and the Trocadéro overlooking the Eiffel Tower. It is central to everything, but is on a side street with its own private courtyard and is therefore very quiet. With 3 Metro lines within a few blocks and 4 bus lines, not to mention it's fantastic location for walking, all of Paris lies at your feet.

Great location! Unbelievable customer service!

  • 5 of 5

My daughter and I spent a week at Marilyne's apartment at the end of June. We could not believe how centrally located it was. We were a 2 minute stroll to the metro, a 3-5 minute stroll to the Arc de Triomphe, and an 8- 10 minute stroll to the Eiffel Tower. We even walked to the Louvre and Opera House which took about 30 minutes. We were a bit worried about traveling to Paris with the recent terrorist attacks, but never felt unsafe at any time. As a matter of fact, we saw numerous armed officers patrolling every part of the city. The apartment was in a very safe area, and we had to have a code to enter the building and then go through two locked doors before we were inside. We were right next door to a small grocery store, and there were numerous places to eat within a couple of blocks. The apartment has everything you can think of including soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent, etc. Marilyne also provided us with wine, coffee, cookies, jam and other goodies. We woke up each morning, made a cappuccino, and hit the city. Because there was a washer and drying rack in the apartment, we were able to wash and dry all of our clothes before returning home. We did utilize the driver, and he was prompt, but did not engage us in conversation. If you want a great location and amazing customer service, then book this apartment. We were close to everything, and Marilyne was always a phone call, text, or email away and responded to every question I had. She even called the chef at the Eiffel Tower restaurant to see if they could accommodate my daughter's vegetarian diet and even mailed my sweater back to me since I left it in the apartment. Highly recommend this apartment. Thanks, Marilyne!

Disappointing

  • 1 of 5

First let me start with the positive. The studio apartment was as pictured, and the bed was comfortable. The location was great and very accessible

to the Metro as well as having a lot of good restaurants nearby. My friend and I felt very safe in this neighborhood and when we had trouble with the

key's to the door's Marilyn came over and assisted us. However, that said the keys were a problem. It would have been a much bigger problem if we

did not have to go through three doors to enter the apartment. What was sooooo disappointing was that there was no view of the Eiffel Tower from the

terrace. In fact the view is into the back of the mini market. The terrace had no table or chairs or charm. In fact one morning I awakened to a man measuring

or surveying I am not sure what. The reason that we chose this property was because it raved about the view of the Eiffel Tower. Yes, if you go through

three doors and stand on the sidewalk you can in fact see the Eiffel tower. However you can see the Eiffel Tower from all over Paris (It is huge) Let me assure you that there is no view from the terrace as is insinuated.

A great Paris getaway flat

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed for the first time at Le Baccarat with plans for a week long "April in Paris" getaway - Marilyne's cozy apartment was a perfect base of operations. The location is quiet and convenient with short walks to l'Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Paris metro and numerous fine restaurants and lively sidewalk cafes. The apartment is comfortable, well appointed and just right for a couple - we're already thinking about next trip to Paris and would gladly stay again at Le Baccarat.

Charming and secluded with Courtyard

  • 5 of 5

Owner Marilyne has created an appealing and ideal traveler's haven, featuring all the comforts of a cozy home. The apartment is immaculate, appliances and fixtures are up-to-date and it is evident that much thought has gone into designing a romantic and restful environment. The building's central location is a perfect starting point for extraordinary sightseeing, shopping and outstanding dining while living like a native Parisian. I would certainly enjoy staying there again, and give it five stars !

Our Go-To Spot in Paris

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I have returned twice to Le Baccarat in Paris and have enjoyed our stay immensely both times. The apartment is beautifully equipped and lovingly maintained. It feels like our little oasis in Paris. We really like the neighborliness of the apartment's location: it let's us think we're part of the local daily life and not just visitors. In addition to its peace and privacy, Le Baccarat is nestled in less tourist-trodden environs, but close enough to walk to the nearby icons (Champs Elysées, Trocadéro, Eiffel Tower, etc.). On our last stay, we uncovered more hidden Parisian restaurant gems tucked away in the nearby neighborhoods. Returning back after an evening's entertainment, the locale's quiet streets contribute to the warm expectation of coming home to a secluded and welcoming home--not just another nondescript hotel room. We look forward to our return to Paris and Le Baccarat.

Totally amazing

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here on our first trip to Paris and it was incredible. Step outside the front door and you can see the Eiffel Tower. Walk a block to the right and you can see the Arc de Triomphe. Walk a block to the left and you can get on the metro and go anywhere in Paris.

The apartment is very quiet and very private. It's the perfect place to wind down at the end of a long day exploring Paris. Marilyne has made many updates to it and it's very modern. It's a studio, but it is by no means small. It feels very open and roomy. It's exactly how I'd want to live if I lived in Paris.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful and hands down beat staying in a hotel. Highly recommended!
