This 4 bedroom, 3 full bath gem is nestled in the woods of Holly Forest IV. It features 2 king sized bedrooms, one full bedroom and a bedroom with two twins that is great for kids. In addition there is a loft that my kids love to hide in and often sleep in. This house sleeps 8-10 comfortably.
The upper level of the house has the kitchen which is beautiful with granite counter tops and Kitchen Aid appliances. There are two decks off of the main dining area with outdoor tables. There are also fours bar stools at the center island so folks can eat there as well.
The living area is warm with big comfortable couches facing our beautiful fireplace and then there is that great loft across from it.
There are three bedrooms upstairs with the master bedroom and bath as the featured room. There is a second king bedroom which shares a full bath with the bedroom featuring two twin beds.
Downstairs, there is a great bedroom featuring a full size bed and bathroom. There are three additional couches downstairs so kick off your shoes and relax, with a fireplace heater.
There is a Foosball table, and WiFi through out the house.
From downstairs you can head out to the back of the property and build a fire and if its running go down to the creek and look for gems (haven't found one yet but we hear they are all over.)
There is a two car garage downstairs should you choose to use it or you can just pull up to the front door like we do and park there.
The house comes with access to the Sapphire Valley Amenities which includes use of the recreation center with its three pools, miniature golf, the game room and the recently renovated health club. With the amenities card you can also spend the day at Fairfield Lake and boat and fish if you like. Fairfield Lake is one of the most beautiful settings you will see and only five miles from the house.
The area around Sapphire is an outdoor wonderland with waterfalls, hiking trails, lakes and golf. In the winter there is skiing seven miles away. Hard to be bored if you like the outdoors. And then there are a number of great restaurants in Sapphire, Cashiers and Highlands which are all a short drive away.
Once you get here it is hard not to fall in love with the beauty and peacefulness of our home and Sapphire Valley.
We stayed at the house over Thanksgiving 2016 with relatives. The cousins, who don't get to see each other as often as either family would like due to distance/sports activities, really enjoyed hanging out in the basement with the fooseball table. All we heard upstairs was laughing and good times being had. The fire pit out back was nice too to roast s'mores and the kitchen worked well to feed our crew of 10 for Thanksgiving. The owner was also very responsive with a few questions we had. We're likely to be back to this house again in the future.
My family and I have been renting a cabin in the mountains each October for the past several years. I have to say this is the nicest one we've rented so far. Everything was very comfortable. The kitchen is very well furnished with tons of utensils! It took a little getting used to the gas stove and oven but only because we have electric appliances.
We loved the high ceilings and the fireplace was great! Beds were comfortable, and everything was clean.
Some of the reviews I read before booking the house mentioned the driveway. Well--it is a little challenging and steep but it's in the mountains! Sort of goes with the territory.
I can highly recommend this house. The owner communicated well and we were very pleased.
We spent a week here and loved every minute of it! The house is very clean, plenty of space, well equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. There is tons to do in the area and we especially enjoyed having access to beautiful Fairfield Lake.
Spent 3-nights in February enjoying the area & snow sports at Sapphire Valley. Great house! Clean, well furnished and great proximity to activities!
We had a wonderful time! We were not lucky with the weather because it was raining a lot but the house and the surroundings compensated everything !
The house is very cozy, the view is gorgeous!
Great to have a good family time!
House very comfortable for several couples. Well - furnished and thoughtfully equipped with kitchen goods and staples. Location easy to find, about a mile off US 64. As others said, the steep drive with difficult turn-around space, is an issue unless you are very skilled at backing your vehicle. Ten minutes from Cashiers and thirty minutes from Highlands. Owners very responsive.
Beautiful waterfalls in and around Sapphire Valley
