Perfect place to relax and enjoy the beach
It's a charming little beach shack that was exactly what I was hoping for. We loved being on the beach, going for an early morning walk along the water, watching the surfers, and listening to the waves. The place had all the amenities I was looking for and we enjoyed barbecuing in the little courtyard. The bathroom is tiny but it all works and it wasn't a problem at all. I was prepared for people gathering at the public access to the beach, but it didn't bother us. In fact, I had a good time talking with some of them about the surf conditions. All in all, it was a wonderful, relaxing time and I look forward to staying again in the future.
Great front yard
Funky fun what a great place to be
Nice place. would stay again
LOCATION IS GREAT
This is definitely a vintage cottage and comfortable. There are definite upgrades that could be done and primarily the incredibly small bathroom. I would recommend expanding it, taking out the tub and have a corner shower. An average sized person can squeeze in but individuals of any size could not access the toilet. We loved being right on the beach and the patio was great to sit and watch the surfers. Unfortunately, our weather was not good and sun was not present which is the luck of the draw. Hurricane coming up from Baja caused all day clouds and we missed a beautiful sunny day during our stay. Basic upgrades of this cottage would be great and would really add to it's ambiance.
The cottage is very small as the property description correctly states. There is no way to enlarge the bathroom, and no one has had difficulty accessing the toilet. We can not guarantee that the weather will be ideal 100% of the time.. We have consistently tried to make our guests comfortable and provide a nice stay for them. We have had many repeat guests over the years and the cottage is very popular.
Cottage is as advertised. Perfect size for the 3 of us. Everything is in walking distance. Fell asleep to the sound of the waves every night. Loved it!!
Quaint and right on the sand.
Nice old beach cottage in the middle of Imperial Beach hotspots. Would do well for this property to have a spring cleaning and some updating. We had to clean the floor before settling in. What can you do though, living on the beach can’t be too perfect!
Imperial Beach is located within 15 to 30 minutes drive from downtown San Diego, Little Italy, Balboa Park, Lindberg Field, Old Town, Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, Coronado, and many other points of interest in the area. The beach is level and good for walking, surfing, and is near the city’s fishing pier. With a population of about 29,000, it is a classic little beach town.
