We are a Canadian couple currently living and working in Atlanta, Georgia. We have two children – our daughter goes to university in Canada and our son attends high school in Atlanta.

Why Trish Blyth chose Pinellas County
We have been vacationing in the Indian Shores area for over 20 years. We chose to purchase an unobstructed, ocean view unit at Sandcastle II because of its beautiful (and perfect) location on the beach. Nothing beats being able to enjoy the ocean, day and night, from the comfort of our condo (we love spending time on our balcony) or sitting at the water’s edge with our feet in the sand. We love the quiet relaxing atmosphere of the area, too. When we crave more action, it’s easy to find it in Clearwater Beach, just 8 miles (20 min) north, and Treasure Island, 8 miles south and/or St. Pete, 12 miles (24 min) south. It truly is the best of both worlds!

It’s newly and expertly renovated with comfort and beauty in mind – both yours and ours. Since we plan to spend time in the condo with family and friends for years to come, it was important that the extensive renovations be top notch. We succeeded – the condo feels like a resort with all the conveniences of home and more. Our intention is that you enjoy this beach vacation condo as much as we do, fall in love with this seaside paradise and come back year after year!

We have stayed in several units at Sand Castke II and this was among the best! Trish has it well kept up, it’s nicely remodeled and she responds quickly to any needs. We will be back!

Nice clean condo, but....
The condo was in good shape, looked recently upgraded but there were a few issues. The master bedroom mattress was worn out and our backs suffered all week. It was nice to have the sliding door to the balcony, but we certainly didn’t like the room flooded with brightness at 6am every morning. The curtains are white (!) and the two panels don’t cover the whole space. Room darkening curtains would be a nice touch. Who doesn’t want to sleep in while on vacation? We were also disappointed in the balcony furniture- cheap plastic tables and NO lounge chairs. Not the best environment for relaxing. As for the pool and hot tub- full of loud screaming kids all day. Not relaxing at all, but our fault for picking March for vacation. However, the hot tub has a warning sign that no kids under 13 allowed- didn’t stop them. The parents obviously didn’t care either, and there is no desk staff at this building keeping an eye on things. As for the location, tons of decent restaurants around, but lots of people so the wait for dinner can be long -make reservations if possible. The beach was clean and beautiful, with very pretty sunsets. Make sure to bring Kleenex, toilet paper, shower gel, paper towels, etc. If you plan on doing laundry, bring HE detergent and dryer sheets. There were meager supplies available, but probably leftovers from previous renters. This is pretty common for condo rentals, so we aren’t complaining, just stating it so anyone not familiar with these types of rentals can be prepared. There is a Publix and CVS nearby.
Thank you for the 4- star rating. I take pride in my condo and am I am glad you found it very clean. The condo was completely renovated in 2013. The kitchen was transformed and now is airy and bright with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. Both bathrooms were also completely renovated, new tile, granite counters, new vanities. Guests love the walk in tiled shower with glass door in the master bathroom. I just installed a new energy efficient, hurricane glass, balcony door for the main room in January 2017. The door is a breeze to open and helps keep the condo cool.
In addition, all the mattresses in the condo were purchased in 2014. I have received only positive feedback on the comfort of these mattresses. Everyone has different preferences for mattresses and I am sorry mine did not suit your tastes.
While two bedrooms face east and have views of the intercoastal waterway, guests love that the master bedroom faces west and has a balcony door with breathtaking views of the ocean. Although not room darkening, the white curtains provide privacy and enough coverage as the sun does not enter the master bedroom until late in the afternoon. No one has commented on the need for room darkening curtains but I will take it under advisement.
I do not supply lounge chairs but there are plenty by the pool or one can rent a cabana on the beach.
Each guest receives a complimentary start up set of supplies for their vacation such as toilet paper, paper towels, soft soap, and dish detergent. Since this is a condo and not a hotel, guests bring their own groceries and supplies for their vacation.

Indian Shores Sandcastle II Unit 2602
My wife and I stayed here the last week of February 2018 with our son, daughter in law and granddaughter. Overall, we LOVED it! The unit is clean, bright and exactly as advertised. The 6th floor view out the doorwall is nothing short of spectacular and the balcony overlooking the ocean, beach and pool area is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee, midday lunch or evening cocktail. The unit is in close proximity to grocery stores, Caddy's Pub (directly across the street) and other restaurants are close by as well, Haze Ice Cream shop (YUM!) and most importantly......THE BEACH! Beautiful sunsets every night...weather permitting. My only complaint was the hot tub by the pool was inconsistent...sometimes nice and hot...other times only a warm tub. And sometime the jets would shut off for no reason. Overall though, I would highly recommend this place. The owner, Trish, was very quick to respond for any questions I had.
We totally enjoyed our stay in the condo. There is plenty of room, comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. Easy access to the beach, pool and spa. And the view is awesome! We are looking forward to our next visit.
This condo is beyond beautiful, the view is striking and breathtaking. We loved the location and the beach! We will definitely be back in the years to come and will be bringing our kiddos next time! Our favorite was breakfast on the balcony overlooking the beach and ocean!! Everything was nicely updated and well kept. Not a single thing would I change!
Day trips include: Tarpon springs sponge musem, Desoto Park, the Clearwater Aquarium, the Museum of Science and Technology in Tampa. Shop, dine and see the dolphins at the docks at nearby John's pass.

A non refundable deposit of 25% is due at time of booking, and the balance is due 45 prior to arrival. No refunds after second payment is made. Higher rates apply for Holiday weeks including Thanksgiving and July 4th. I rent weekly Saturday to Saturday.
