About Odis or Rhonda Chambers
Odis and I have been married 34 years. We have lived in this area basically all those years. We raised our family in this location and still enjoy most of our family living close by. I (Rhonda) was born here. Odis' family hails from the Cades Cove area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. His family moved to Blount County when Cades Cove was established as part of the National Park. The property on which your cabin sits was originally deeded to Frederick Emert in the 1700's who was an ancestor of mine (Rhonda). It has remained in the family ever since. We built Hoo's Looking Back in the summer of 2000 and have enjoyed meeting many of our guests over the last 13 years. In order to maintain a natural theme we tastefully decorated this cabin with owls. Hence the name 'Hoo's Looking Back'. We have also been owners of our own restaurants for all or most of our married life.
Odis or Rhonda Chambers purchased this Cabin in 2000
Why Odis or Rhonda Chambers chose Gatlinburg
The outdoors and Great Smoky Mountains National Park and this area have always been a huge part of our lives. We have done some traveling and realized that we would like to provide a restful get-away for couples, such as we would enjoy when we travel.
What makes this Cabin unique
This home is privately owned, cleaned and maintained by the owners. It is our belief that every guest deserves the same clean, well maintained surroundings that this cabin offers.

Romantic, private and homey!
Great location, private but short distance to everything.
Cabin is great, it has everything you need!
Beautiful, Out of town cabin!
We loved our stay in this beautiful cabin, the location was great , ten miles out of the BUSY traffic that is gatlinburg. Which is exactly what we were hoping for. Bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was clean and the kitchen was equipped with everything you would need. We were very pleased. Loved kicking my husbands but on the pool table, and was even able to listen to music on you tube.
There was some road noise, but we were able to overlook that. The locusts in the trees were more annoying, but hey, its nature and your in the woods. Parking is a little tight when both cabins are booked, but this ok as long as you park where states. However, I probably wouldn't bring a crew cab with a 8 foot bed!
We would definitely return and really enjoyed visiting different areas of the park as well as trying lots of local restaurants.
Thank you for having us!
Best Week Ever!!
We enjoyed every minute! The cabin was just like the pictures, perfect for a couple!
We hope to return next summer!
The cabin was beautiful. We enjoyed our stayed greatly. However, our only complaints were: the jacuzzi didn't work, the wifi didnt work, & our coffeemaker did not produce hot coffee. We were a little disappointed with those few things but everything else was great!
Thank you so much for your 4 star review! When we arrived at Who's Looking Back shortly after your departure we immediately read the comments that you had written in the comment book. We proceeded to inspect each item you had listed. We could not have known about any of the issues since we were not notified of them. We could have remedied any of these immediately had you let the office where you picked up your keys or called us personally know that there were any problems. We checked the jacuzzi and found that the breaker had tripped, which can happen in thunderstorms or outages, however this would would not have kept the tub from filling. We purchased a new coffeemaker only to find that when we got that one home it worked perfectly. We had no problem connecting to the internet. Perhaps your device was trying to pick up a previous internet location and needed a shutdown before trying to log onto the cabin internet. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope that you do return. However, should you have any problem in the future you were provided two phone numbers: the office where you picked up your keys and our personal number to report any concerns. Thank you, again for choosing to stay with us! We hope to host you again in the future.

Perfect Cabin for a Weekend Getaway with a Significant Other!!
Cabin was perfect! Privacy on the balconies made for peaceful and relaxing mornings and nights! White water rafting was one of my best experiences I ever had and the free ticket helped a lot! We loved the location and all the amenities and will definitely be back again!
Great property and a way from the busyness of downtown Gatlinburg
The property was beautiful and had everything you needed. The hot tub and game room were extras that added to our stay. The only down side I would say is the road noise but that is no way would keep us from coming back to stay here. We loved all the owl decorations.
We are located on the doorstep of The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. If you love hiking here is where you want be. Endless miles of mountain streams for fishing, tubing, kayaking or to just play in. If you enjoy shopping we are minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and outlet malls in Pigeon Forge, which also just happens to be Dollywoods location. Go out! Have a great day and come home to all the relaxation you could dream of!
