Amazing lake view from balcony, living room, dining room and kitchen. Pool and Spa on premises. Across from the Lake Arrowhead Resort and just steps away from Stater Bros. Just down a few steps you enter the quaint village of Lake Arrowhead with all its many fine shops and restaurants. Again, you have great views of the lake. The Arrowhead Queen runs all year with tours of the lake. We have a very fine water ski school right in the village. It is very enjoyable (sometimes amusing) to watch this sport. There are concerts all summer with some leading artists and they are Free. At the end of the peninsula there is a playground and Kiddy Park for the children.
This is a perfect place to stay if attending a wedding or any other social function at the Lake Arrowhead Resort.
The Chamber of Commerce is located in the Village and they are always happy to help you find any of the activities in the area. However, you may be very content to just enjoy the view from the balcony or lounge by our pool and spa.
**There is an elevator in the Village that takes you to all parking levels and up to our level.
We arrived in Southern CA in 1965 That very first year we took a driving trip to Lake Arrowhead and immediately feel in love with this area. We built a home here but we were not able to stay. We always knew we would be back and in 2003 bought this wonderful condo.
Kay McNamara purchased this condo in 2003
This property really appealed to us because of its close proximity to the Village and lake. We hardly ever use our car. Everything is right here within walking distance.
Burnt Mill Beach is private (use our pass) and is approx. a 2 min ride. If you have a blow-up raft or kayak you should bring it with you since we do not have a permit to use any hard shell boat, canoe or kayak. This is the only type of craft that is allowed for members without a permit. There are attendants at both beaches who will check this out. A short distance away you can row to a little island with is small beach where all kinds of craft park for a while to enjoy swimming and relaxing on the sand.
Besides walking the trails we like to walk around the village. The outdoor eating places are just wonderful for people and pet watching. There are a number of restaurants overlooking the lake. Sometimes we poke around the art gallery by the lakeside. We also have the BEST pizza place in southern ca. (Belly Buster night - Wednesday - offers small pizza, salad and drink for approx. $6 on a patio overlooking the lake. There is also a small arcade in the pizza shop.
Tavern Bay beach is located approx. 3-4 miles on the other side of the lake. It is much larger than Burnt Mill and they have a playground. Once a year tthe Rotary has a Wine and Art show. You can purchase a ticket at the Chamber and many of our devoted boat enthusiasts drive back and forth all day on the lake delivering people across the lake from the village to Tavern Bay Art show. UCLA Conference Center is located across from Tavern Bay. It is housed in an historic building among magnificent scenery. A must see..
The third week in Sept brings forth the fabulous Home Show. A very popular event. Usually four home are on the tour The Chamber makes every effort to have the most interesting and unique homes in the area.
Grass Valley Picnic area: This is a park on Grass Valley Lake across from the golf course.. Swimming is not allowed here but is is very picturesque. Plan a picnic. You will need a pass (which we provide
The condo helped to make our stay in Lake Arrowhead very enjoyable. The location was fantastic. It is walking distance to the village, and the proximity to the grocery store was excellent. Not having to drive around the mountain was an added bonus. Having a lake pass was an added bonus. We even took advantage of the pool and hot tub. There were a few reasons why I did not give the location five stars: (1) Although there was cable they do not have any channels - just basic. So, my husband missed the NBA All-Star game which I had to hear about all weekend. (2) the queen size bed was not that comfortable. (3) the condo is actually three bedrooms. The upper room is closed off, which felt a little creepy. Overall the experience was very enjoyable. I do recommend staying here. The owner is very personable.
This is a comfortable, clean, well maintained property with a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed coffee looking out at the snow peaks and the lake. Birds visited the patio and gave us a sense of nature and harmony. Nearby, within minutes, is a great Stater Brothers and other amenities. There is a pass available to walk along the lake. Arrowhead is a gem and we were fortunate to find a place so well situated to enjoy it.
We just spent a lovely long weekend in a homey little 2 bedroom condo overlooking Lake Arrowhead. The owner, Kay, was very nice and helpful. The location was ideal. Just steps away from shopping, restaurants and Lake Arrowhead Villiage. We parked our car in the secure garage and left it there until it was time to come home.
The property is fully equipped with everything we could have wanted from the kitchen to nice linens etc. All we needed to do was walk over to Stater Brothers and pick up the groceries we wanted and we were set. We would recommend this vacation spot to everyone and hope to visit it again soon.
Owner was very helpful. Great experience for us. Recommend highly.
We stayed at this property on December 2015 and it was a very nice experience. The place is clean, cozy and has a perfect location. Kay was very nice and helpful. We look forward to come back soon.
We stayed in this condo for thanksgiving and it snowed! It was the best visit to Lake arrowhead we've ever had! Kay was so nice and we want to return next year as well:)
