Just come back from waters edge hotel Malta No complaints when I read other reviews some say noise from port didn’t find this a problem at all had a great time
Most rooms face the beach and therefore have good views from the balcony. The Freeport across the harbour works 24 hrs a day but the noise was not intrusive and we found the sights fascinating. The hotel is fairly modern even down to having some UK 3 pin sockets in the rooms. The bedrooms could have had more storage but were a decent size although as others have said there is no hairdryer or kettle in the rooms but these can be hired from reception. Breakfast is a typical continental one and can be had on the outside terrace. The restaurant / cafe serves a full English breakfast for 5€ and also fish, pasta, pizzas etc which seems to be the same as the
adjacent 3 restaurants. Buses run to all parts of the island from the stop outside the hotel and are frequent and reliable although can be busy during summer months.
Overall the hotel is fine and the staff were all friendly and the location was good being on the beach and adjacent to a park with activities for children. Oh, and bingo is played for a couple of hours outside on the terrace every night !
good located in spite of the proximity of the port
problem to park the car; but the hotel by himself was very convenient
Good afternoon, Thank you for choosing Water's Edge and for your positive feedback. Regards, Miriam
