This home was built in 1951 and has belonged to a Historic Marfa ranching family for several generations.
House was in a great area of Marfa- very quiet and loved view of mountains. House had all amenities needed. Great stay!
Lovely house on the edge of town, nice walk in (probably about a mile). Owner very responsive. All in all a great getaway. Walled in yard for our dog was a real plus. Watch out for javelinas in the neighborhood if you come in at night!
We were in town with 4 adults, 2 children (ages 9-11). The house was perfect for all of us - kids had their own room, and plenty of space to explore outside in the large backyard and around the quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is very large and perfect for cooking any kind of meal. The house is close enough to the downtown to have easy access to the restaurants and galleries, etc., but far enough away to convey a sense of peace. My husband and I enjoyed a nice walk home after seeing a performance at the Crowley theatre, so it's not too far to bike or walk if you prefer. The owner is very accommodating and kind, and I am glad we got to meet her and her husband in person - wonderful people from a wonderful part of Texas. Thank you for being a part of a fabulous trip!
Our team was in Marfa from New York to do an event for Chinati weekend and had the pleasure of staying at Lynda's beautiful home! Although we didn't spend much time in the house (we were in town working) it was the perfect place to come back to and relax after very long days/nights. Quiet, spacious, comfortable with full amenities and a lovely backyard where we'd stargaze at the end of the night. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend this property.
We enjoyed ourselves immensely at this house. It was well maintained and the owner was very accommodating. Highly recommended.
This home is located in the scenic Brite Addition neighborhood of Marfa, a 10 minute walk to the downtown restaurants, retail stores, coffee shops, gym, and Courthouse. Only 5 minutes to drive to the Chinati Foundation, Ballroom Marfa, the Judd Foundation, and El Cosmico. This neighborhood features sweeping views and large lots, with a mix of contemporary, modern and mid-century style homes.
