Haleiwa House Rental Photos and Description

2 bedroom oceanfront home (Sleeps 6)

Aloha & Welcome to our direct ocean front Sunset Shack:) If you are looking for paradise look no more! This beachfront home is located on Sunset Beach in the heart of the world famous North Shore on a private sand beach that stretches miles in both directions. One of the most desirable beaches in the world, as seen on travel channel’s top ten beaches numerous times. The home is perfect for those looking for a relaxing, exciting, perfect vacation. Tucked back in a quiet neighborhood off the bike path. Whether you are looking to catch a wave, hang in the hammock with a book, snorkel/scuba dive the gorgeous reefs, grill out your fresh catch, bask in the sun, North Shore has whatever a perfect vacation entails to you! World class surf break “Backyards” directly in front of house with “Sunset” “Rocky Point” and “Pipeline” steps away! The beach in front of the house is absolutely breathtaking and hardly used as there is no public access to it close to the home. The water is crystal clear and the snorkeling is great.

The North Shore is the quite part of Oahu but is only minutes from great food, shopping and fantastic sites.

The house comfortably sleeps 5-6. A king size bed in the master bedroom, full in second bedroom and 1 pullout couch downstairs with extra floor mattresses if needed. One full bath. Fully equipped kitchen. Living room has a new flat screen TV with a DVD player for movie nights. The property has a long private gated driveway. Included is private outdoor shower and roof top deck overlooking the ocean.

The house is less than ten minutes from the historic town of Haleiwa, which is the main town on the north shore of Oahu. It has lots of restaurants, shopping, a marina (in case you would like to go deep sea fishing), and live entertainment nightly in some of the restaurants. About five miles away from the house in the other direction, are two championship golf courses, horseback riding, lots of amazing restaurants, and several bars. Ted’s Bakery is walking distance from the homes with some of the best food on this side of the island. There are always exciting surf competitions to watch during the winter months such as the Triple Crown(Pipeline Masters which is the super bowl of surfing) and the much anticipated Eddie Aikau Invitational.

There is a great Supermarket “Food Land” about a half mile from the house, which also has a Starbucks coffee shop. All the Island activities, from scuba diving, to jet-skis are all just minutes away from this tropical retreat. Scuba diving is also a major attraction on the North Shore with both boat and shore dives available. Waimea Falls is only a mile away, and hiking at Waimea Valley and visiting the falls is an unforgettable experience. The property is 1 of 9 properties in all of the North Shore that gets an unobstructed view of the sunset over the water 365 days of the year!(very very special!!)

This is a shared property with another separate home next door please see VRBO listing VRBO Listing #443153

Why Tyler Barnes chose North Shore Oahu

Why this property? Because it has such an authentic Hawaiian vibe with the most amazing quiet beach in its back yard! Families that rent our property come as strangers and usually end up leaving as friends as they get to meet with other families on or near the property and creating lifetime friendships/memories!

A Slice of North Shore Heaven

  • 5 of 5

When my fiancée and I decided on Hawaiian for our long-delayed vacation, I did extensive research. What convinced us of Sunset Beach Bungalow was a combination of the gorgeous photos, excellent reviews, and the price.

We prefer a more adventurous vacation, one with the opportunity to hike, bike, snorkel, and indulge in our favorite: scuba diving. Since we spend so little time indoors, we’re not very fussy about the where we sleep at night. So given everything I’d learned about the unit, it looked just about right.

What it turned out to be was PERFECT!

Frankly, all the photos, owner descriptions, and reviews cannot do justice to this little slice of North Shore Heaven. The location is just about at the epicenter of the North Shore and within walking/biking distance all the beaches made famous in the movies. Sunset Beach is literally down a flight of stairs from the back yard, you simply cannot rent anything closer to the waves. Shopping, grocery, restaurants, and local nightlife are only a few minutes away by car.

Our favorite spot in the house was the rooftop deck which affords a view of Sunset Beach. It felt like we were living inside a post card. We spent almost every sunset up there, watching the surf and holding hands. (I know, so call me a goofy romantic.)

As promised on their website, there were free bikes, snorkeling gear (although we brought our own), washer/dryer, and the much-hyped “outdoor shower”. Trust me, use it once, and you’ll want to install one at home!

The kitchen was fully stocked with every possible pot/pan, cooking utensil, and tableware necessary to prepare a lavish meal. There were even a wide selection of spices in the pantry. But we were too anxious for adventure to spend too much time in the kitchen. Bathroom was a little tight, but still had a full bath, shower, sink, etc.

If you’re looking for a 5-Star establishment that caters to those born with a silver spoon in their mouths, this isn’t the place. But if you’re on a budget and look for natural beauty, genuine value, and a place you can be comfortable, I don’t believe you’ll find anything better on the North Shore.

Susan and I thoroughly enjoyed our week; and will cherish the memory forever.

Ideal Hawaiian vacation

  • 5 of 5

I loved staying at this particular place because it embodies the iconic Hawaiian feel. Including a breath taking view, laid back atmosphere, and plenty of privacy to unwind. In my opinion the hustle bustle of Waikiki hails in comparison to the attitude of this North Shore gem! I look forward to revisiting. Aloha!

Top Ten Reasons Why We Loved This Place. 10. As advertised. And clean and well maintained. 9. Bikes to ride and bike path all the way to Shark's Cove. 8. Far enough from the crowds. Close enough to grocery store and Haleiwa. 7. Quiet neighborhood. 6. Made friends with the other guests staying in the other unit. 5. Very few people on the beach that stretches farther than you can walk in both directions from the house. 4. Sunsets from the beach and from the front porch. 3. Owners were very accommodating. 2. Great value for the price. We already recommended this house to others. And the #1 reason we loved this place...We could step off the lawn and right onto the sand.

Perfect vacation get away

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed at this property for 7 days and had an absolute wonderful time. The rental truly does look just like the pictures, I was so glad we chose this house and not a hotel somewhere. It has one large bedroom upstairs and a very large main level that could accommodate multiple people. The living room has two nice sliding glass doors that open on to a deck overlooking the yard, which is filled with palm trees, chairs and nice green grass. The beach/ocean is just a few short steps from the yard. From the bed upstairs to the beach is less than a 1 minute, a walk that I did every morning. Once you are on the beach it is very quiet, there is not much foot traffic in front of the property. The house and location were a perfect launching point for new adventures every day, I would definitely go back to stay again.

We loved it!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at the place for 9 days with our nine month old daughter in May. The location of the place is perfect! It's right in front of the water and you can watch people surfing all the time from the patio on the ground and on the roof top. You can walk to the beach from the backyard and there is also a little private cabana on the beach in front of the property. There are 2 other rental units within the same property ground, but it's ok as this unit is closest to the water, so we barely see people from the other units. The unit is exactly how it shows from the picture. It can for sure use some updates and more cleaning in certain areas, but the price is great for the location. The room has a king bed and a office table, which turns out to be perfect for us as our baby's crib fit perfectly in the office area (near but not too close to our bed). One thing that kinda bothered us was that we were supposed to have a parking spot, but were told by the property manager that we have to park on the street because there is actually only 2 parking spots at the property and the other 2 units get priority. It was a hassle because we have a 9 month old that we had to carry with all our stuff and it was hard to find parking during the weekends. We loved that the unit has its own gas BBQ that doesn't need to share with the other units. We also loved watching sunsets from the roof top and on the beach. We will definitely go back again :)
