If agreed before booking, pets welcome with $250 pet fee (partially refundable if you tell me now how you will restrict access and clean linens, upholstery, yard, etc. after, as we discuss beforehand--I, and others, are allergic). Also, if you move furniture, blankets, toys, games, please put back, and run dishwasher.

Kristy was very welcoming and had advice about surrounding activities and food. The studio was perfect for a long weekend with my husband, and was in a great location to visit beaches, restaurants, and other activities. Access to the beach in the listing's description was especially nice! We would definitely consider staying here again in the future. This was our first time using Airbnb and it was a great experience!
We were well pleased with the home and the yard. My family of five and pets had a fantastic time and were very comfortable. We loved the yard and spent each night taking and playing games outside. We highly recommend this location and its accommodating owner to any looking for a getaway.
3 families reunited from different states, and we visited other relatives in northern Indiana. The location was great. Even though it's on Red Arrow Hwy, it was still private and quiet. The fenced yard had plenty of room for 7 grandkids to play and 5 grownups to visit around the firepit. The rooms in the house were also big enough for different age-groups to congregate separately. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed. The downstairs bedrooms were a little different-funky but fun. We enjoyed the Dunes (although too cold to swim in June), Silver Beach and shopping in St. Joseph was fun, Cherry Beach was hard to find and had so many flies, we returned to Warren Dunes.
We would definitely rent here again. Thanks, Kristy!
My husband and I were looking for a weekend away from Chicago with our dog. We love the craft beer movement, and my husband is a filmmaker. I found the Michigan Beer Film, which lead us to Sawyer, MI and Greenbush Brewing, only an hour and 15 minutes out of the city. We were delighted to find Peacock Place so close to everything we wanted to see and do, and found so much more to experience than we knew! The house is large, yet cozy. We love the style and decor, and the privacy the fenced back yard allowed. The spa room with heated floors was an excellent experience, even though we had mild 30 degree weather for our whole trip. The kitchen is well laid out with all the necessary equipment to do some great meals, although you are minutes away from several superb restaurants, many that are open during off season. We took a tour of Journeyman Distillery and their newly opened Staymaker restaurant, and highly recommend Mesa Luna. The dunes are great, and there is even a part of the beach that is dog friendly. We went out for a sunset that was beautiful. We enjoyed tastings at several wineries near by, and loved spending time at the house. Thank you Kristy, we'll definitely be back!
spent 4 days with a group of students in the house, including the new years eve. The house is so nice and clean, made us warm and feel like home, especially for a bone-chilling, endless, depressing michigan-winter.
I really enjoyed the time there. It's so convenient to have a full set of kitchen ware, a large variety of seasoning, all kinds of games, towels, even shower gel and shampoo. we cooked a lot, ated a lot, set up a fire for marshmallows, took several walks to the beach, to celebrate the end of a successful semester and embrace the upcoming brand new year.
the owner of the house, Kristy, such a nice person who gave us a lot of help including rides since we didn't have a car.
we are looking forward to having our reunion in this house in the future.
Kristy was awesome with communication. We had a ltitle confusion at first figuring out Guest House or Main House, in the end Squirrel Nutkin and Twinkleberry got into the Guest House so we had a free upgrade!! Anyway, any confusion was WELL worth the result of this weekend. She worked with me on price to help make our weekend getaway affordable, and I just can't say enough about how beautiful the house is. We had a hard time deciding whether to go explore the area or lounge around at the house! It was a perfect balance of fancy romantic weekend and rustic out-in-the-woods hiking/adventure.
The master bed is HEAVENLY. The spa room is amazingly romatic, especially with the fireplace and a few tea lights set around the tub. Love the fenced backyard, it was perfect for our dogs. Kristy's movies and games were great, especially some of the old Beatrix Potter story books. We enjoyed reading the guest book, especially the kids' reviews. We loved hiking in the woods and out to the beach, visiting the distillery, cooking in your amazing kitchen (way nicer than ours at least!), the antique furniture has great charm too!
The sweetest part was the message we recieved on departure day inviting us to stay another night for no cost since the cleaning ladies werent coming right away. We had work so we couldn't, but what a great gesture!
We're hoping to bring the whole family back sometime soon!
highly highly recommend.
House was clean and everything was in working order. The host was easy to work with. Great location to some of the best west Michigan has to offer. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends!
