The location was great. However, when we walked into house the smell was overwelming. We tried to air it out, but it did not help. The smell was so strong it gave my wife a splitting headache. The bed was not comfortable. The pillows were so thin and I woke up with a headache and a stiff neck. The garage was not connected to the home. There were totally different keys for the front door of house, the back door for the house and the back door of garage. The hot water ran out before I could finish my shower. The breakfast food mentioned was packets of oat meal and hot chocolate. We booked a hotel room for the rest of our stay. Do yourself a favor and take out the rental insurance if you decide to rent this home away.

Owner's Response: We are very sorry your stay with us did not meet your expectations. We wish we were informed of some issues you encountered at the property upon arrival. This would allow our team to make any corrections immediately. The smell was from Airwick scented oils plug, flavor Paradise Retreat, which we have been using for the past four years at this property and flavor is very light but we do understand, some individuals are very sensitive to these type of smells. Our recommendation to you, for any future bookings, is to please let the property owner know that your spouse is sensitive to smells so cleaning team would be advised not to use any flavored products for your stay. We offer 4 different types of bed and 11 pillows at the property due to some of our guests preferring hard, medium or soft beds and thin or thick pillows. We provide a variety of choices to make all our guests comfortable while staying at our property. We apologize for any inconvenience that detached garage created for you. We will make sure "detached" wording for the garage is added to our property description, located just 18 feet from the kitchen back door. Having a garage is very rear in this neighborhood and we are very fortunate to be able to offer this great feature to our guests. Street parking is alternative option. We can certainly understand your level of disappointment and frustration with having different keys. We have different keys at the property due to security and safety reasons of our guests. This is one of the decisions we had to make at the time property was converted to a vacation rental in 2013. We believe having one key for all doors creates significant risk for our guests and the property. Your review regarding running out of hot water was taken very seriously and our plumber was called immediately. Testing was performed and no issues were found with 50 gallons water heater at the property so we are assuming this was a onetime issue. We are sorry if you got misinformed by VRBO regarding breakfast at the property. Packets of oat meal and hot chocolate are totally complimentary for our guests and only serve as pantry items. Please be assured, the service you received is not consistent with the standards we commit to our guests. We are so sorry for not being able to provide a great stay experience for you and your family while staying with us and we certainly hope your next rental vacation booking offers a superior experience that we were not able to. Thank you.

We loved it.

Property was beautiful and in a wonderful, safe area. Very clean & had all the linens and dishes we needed. We were able to walk to the zoo. The house had an enclosed garage so when we arrived we locked our vehicle in the garage and used the Uber service to get us to all of our destinations... very handy. House is located in a good certral area close to attractions. We hope to stay there again next year.

This town home was great! It was comfortable, homey, clean, had all the comforts of home!

This was my 1st experience staying somewhere other than a hotel! It was so nice and private. We had a complete kitchen, and this roomy townhouse made us feel right at home! We experienced St Louis, our convention downtown, the Gateway Arch, Dogtown, the Science Museum, the Zoo all just minutes from the home. The property manager was very helpful and informative! I would stay here again.

Great location. Great for a family

The location was fantastic (walkable to the zoo) and a quick drive to many attractions. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable bedrooms with lots of sleeping space. Lots of nice touches for a family: pac n play, bedtime books, roomy seating at the dining room table (probably could seat 7 comfortably with 4 seats and a bench) and a highchair. Having only one bathroom was tricky at times, but otherwise we were extremely happy.

Great location and clean home.

Our family of six enjoyed our stay at this very centrally located double. The neighborhood was secure and so easy to access. Tatjana's place is clean and welcoming.

Fantastic property in a centrally located great neighborhood!

The property was extremely well maintained and clean. It provided a lot of space and had many nice touches such as garbage bags, kitchen and bathroom items. I highly recommend this property as it is the best that I have rented!
