.This sunny A/C flat is newly renovated.
I am a painter and a mother of 4 children.
I built this space for my children who are studying, now I live in.As we travel a lot, we are used to exchange our property with families,it is small but there is one bedroom with double bed,one living room with double convertible, one bathroom,a mezzanine with a double sleeping bed.
All those rooms can be separated from each other with moving doors.
From the trendy street, you get this 5th floor ( elevator) great open space with a south view on the sky and haussmanian roofs.
You just have to jump to find the best restaurants of the 6th arrdt: the Coupole and the Select, the Dôme...
Theaters, cinemas: it is the heart of the life.
But steps from this entertainment, you will find the Luxembourg Garden and the nices small paradises of the area: the Senat garden, the museum of Luxembourg,or Saint Germain des prés.Families and students live together ,the Sorbonne, the universities are all in the same close blocks.
Metros and buses drive you everywhere or velibs ( bycycles to rent). From Montparnasse (5 min) the train drives you within 15 min in front of the Chateau de Versailles's doors. The Saint Sulpice market and church will be joined walking in the elegant shopping quarter.
I will welcome you and tell you how you will enjoy the dolce vita!
If you arrive in the morning, what about a breakfast with croissants and fresh juices? And if it is the evening: champain! (for a week's stay or special event),and if you want me to reserve a restaurant, don't hesitate to ask.
We have wifi,tv,washmachine.
Baby sitting is on request. My daughter loves children.
As I am used to travel ,I know that finding everything in the same time is great: Cooking in a brand new apartment but finding all the terrasses and beauty of the architecture an leisure, steps from my 'home' has no price.
I stayed for 3 weeks in this apartment with my two young daughters, and it could not have been more perfect! Although it's small, the apartment had enough space for the three of us and everything we needed - washing machine, A/C, kitchenette. Everything inside the apartment is modern and in good working order. But the best part, by far, is the phenomenal location. Multiple Metro stops are within easy walking distance, making all of Paris accessible to you. And the neighborhood itself is lively with restaurants, cafes, groceries, pharmacies, shopping, and even an internet cafe (though the apartment has very good WiFi as well). My daughters especially loved that we were a 6 minute walk from the Jardin du Luxembourg. We will definitely try to stay here again if we come back to Paris for another long stay! Thank you, Marina!
We loved staying in this fabulously designed apartment in a great location. We came with our 2 children, ages 11 and 14. It was impeccably clean and very well situated on a lively street near metro, buses, and anything we needed or wanted. It is a very tiny apartment but 4 of us stayed quite comfortably because of the clever design. The furniture was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was excellent, and despite being on a busy street it was not at all noisy at night. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that the elevator is teeny tiny - fits just 1 person - and you cannot bring luggage on it so we had to climb 6 flights with our bags. Also it broke once during our stay. But if you don't mind sometimes having to use the stairs, this place is great. Also, we could not really spread out and there are not a lot of places to put 4 people's suitcases but for a relatively short stay (we stayed a week) that doesn't matter. We highly recommend this apartment for anyone visiting Paris with (or without) kids.
Perfect location,owner friendly and helpful.
Paris was a dream for our team.4 of us for a first trip in this gorgeous adventure.
Hopefully we could relax in this air-conditionning unit, comfortable and well furnished. The area is full of shops, restaurants and nice open market at Edgard Quinet boulevard.
We recommand the Bistrot du Dôme for fresh fish.
Steps from Montparnasse, easy and fast way to Versaille.
Thank you to Marina and Daphné who welcomed us after 2 hours of delay.
Hope to come back.
This property worked out well for us in most ways. My review is going to be honest because I believe reviews should serve the renter.
--great location, very close to metro, great eateries, wonderful patisseries, and some small grocery markets.
--loft beds are very comfortable
--apartment very clean
--great breeze comes in window, which also affords great view of street
-- television includes many stations, and you can also sign into your Netflix account
--strong WiFi signal
--lots of hot water
--adequate dishes and tableware for your use
--security deposit is returned without hesitation.
--beds downstairs are not comfortable
--aptmt very cramped for more than 2 people to relax in
--we were not given the long list of rules until very shortly before our arrival (ask for them before booking)
--6 flights of stairs, and you CANNOT USE THE TINY ELEVATOR to bring up or take down ANY of your luggage, fits only one person at a time.
--the neighbors are not friendly and they blame any elevator breakdown on proprietor's tenants (very unjustly in our case). We did everything we could to be quiet and preserve the elevator, as the other tenants are elderly, but we were still blamed, which caused great stress to the proprietor, which in turn caused her to be a little bit difficult and defensive. She has to placate the other tenants.
My husband left the last day with the keys in his pocket, unintentionally, which resulted in many panicky, often impolite emails from her. We were able to Chronoposte them to her from Loire Valley as soon as the post office opened after the 3-day holiday. He was at fault, so we did not blame her.
This property is suitable for the young, energetic, and fit. Two of the 3 of us were pleased overall with our stay.
My husband and our three daughters (ages 20,19,15) just returned from our Springtime stay here. It is a small space, but works well for a family with the dividers and the loft, and the price cannot be beat for a family stay in Paris. We were cozy, but comfortable. It is on the 6th floor but there is a reliable lift that will hold 1-2 people. (my husband had to take it alone) But we were expecting that, as we have stayed in old buildings in Europe before. The lift worked reliably all 4 days. The Wifi worked very well. It is bright and sunny, and very clean with a modern bathroom. The shower is small, but again we were expecting that. My husband is large (6'2") and he managed just fine. The bedding provided was super comfy, which was a nice bonus after a long day of travel and sightseeing. The absolute best thing about this apartment is the location. You are literally steps away from two Metro stops. We felt like true Parisians as there are wonderful bakeries, meat markets, cheese shops, cafes, and wine shops all in the neighborhood. We highly recommend Montparnasse 1900 for a nice meal and a true Parisian experience. It was the highlight of our trip, and actually a very good value. Marina was wonderful to work with from the very beginning to the end, even meeting us very early to check out for our daughter's early flight home. We were nervous about the cash deposit, but don't be. She is very honest and was great to work with. We would stay here again.
My husband and I stayed in this apartment for 3 nights in Nov, and we loved it! Right from the start, our experience with the owner was good - she was waiting for us even though I'd apparently forgotten to tell her our time of arrival. She brought us up to her 6th floor apartment (just note that the lift is typically small), which in terms of sleeping space had a double bed, a sofa and a loft. There's a TV for those who require it. The apartment was clean, the heating was brilliant (important in winter), the wifi was strong, there was all the kitchen equipment if ever one felt like cooking, and also a washing machine.
The apartment's location is fantastic - right next to a metro station, shops and cafes and restaurants all around, and it's close to the lovely Luxembourg Gardens. Best of all, since we love to explore markets, it's near to at least a couple of markets (which the owner can tell you about). So we had a great time going to the markets, looking at the produce, buying local stuff to eat, and to bring home. The owner also recommended us a couple of places to eat, and we walked back to the apartment sated and satisfied each time. This stay was better than being in a hotel because we felt so at home. Glad we found the apartment.
This place is in the heart of Paris next all entertainment and activities of the town, for adults, young adults, children,in a student and family area, steps from the Luxembourg garden and museums
